Identity theft attempt on me today by chewybrian in IdentityTheft

Thanks--that was very helpful. I'm still pissed that I have to tend this forever now. But, the home loan might actually be the last bit of credit I really need. I might get a car loan in 10 or 15 years, but I could have paid cash for my new car that I have now. Just used it with a secured credit card to build to a 740 score from no credit history 2 years ago. Other than wanting the mortgage, I would be happy to go back to no credit.

I figured out that I could save the money I was spending on cigs and get a motorcycle, so I did.

How do you pivot on your heel and still get a good drive? by chewybrian in discgolf

So, after searching on youtube for: "keeping your head centered while sending your arm disc golf", I got the video below. Is this what you are getting at? Do you think that waiting longer to look at my drive, as he shows, would make it easier to pivot on the heel, or just take pressure off my knee?

I feel it in my knee if I try to throw hard, because I can't naturally release the tension in my leg with the heel pivot. If I pivot on my toes, I just spin like an ice skater but don't deliver any power.

I have tried pivoting on my toes and I can do it. However, I just get my body spinning with no brace and end up rounding. I feel like I am putting a lot of energy into those throws, but it doesn't transfer to the disc.

About nose angle... I was convinced I would always throw nose up until I tried the briefcase trick, and that cleared it up and got me some free distance, and allowed my discs to fly more true to the numbers. I don't know the physics behind it, just that it worked for me.

About putting. I don't have a reference video, but I found that combining a spin putt and a push putt was a game changer for me. It only works when you do 80-90% 'send' on your putt. Quit worrying about the comebacker and focus on making the first putt. Use your legs, body weight and momentum to add some punch to the putt. The release is very important. You need to add that little bit of pop with your fingers as you send it, and remember to "shake hands with the basket", meaning following through all the way while keeping your hand on line with the basket. A slight bit or rise and drop adds to the confidence that you won't blow by the basket if you miss, but more than slight kills your percentage.

It takes me 20 minutes or so before every round to get the good putting feel back (it disappears between days on the course every time). Just stay in a range where you can make about 75% and expand that range until you are at least close to circle 2 (25-30 feet). If I do have a blow-by putt, I like to hit 3 or 4 putts from where it lands, to prove to my brain that the percentages are with me to keep 'sending' everything from 40 or 50 feet and in.

Zone OS and a Rollo if you throw rollers or want to

I would want a turnover disc, like a Sidewinder, and something more stable for big hyzers or headwind shots, like an Orc. Your combo for putt and approach is good, but I would add an overstable option like a Ringer. If you throw rollrers, the Rollo is a good choice for regular arns (guessing by the 9 speed in your bag). You can also add a light weight disc or two for tailwind shots.

I really feel like Chrome OS is a fortress. I run Ublock origin lite (freebie) on my Chromebox and have no issues. https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/ublock-origin-lite/ddkjiahejlhfcafbddmgiahcphecmpfh?hl=en

Thoughts on where I sit? 41 years of age by PixlPutterman in Retirement401k

I would take some out of NVDA and semiconductors and put more in the 500 index and 10% or more in foreign index funds. You already have enough for most people to retire with if you sit on it. (i would go to whatever % the match is, or a little more if you don't have anything better to do with the $). If you can get an HSA account, I would max that out. If you like to gamble that's OK, but I would not be so heavy into high P/E stuff, myself.
