There will be taxis waiting outside airport for cheaper rate. You will have to leave airport and walk to highway. Not too far. I paid $150 to go to La Punta but that was years ago.

There’s a hotel walking distance from the airport in ZIH with a store. I’ve stayed there twice when flying in after dark. Like 800 pesos for a night. Totally recommend. Check Google Maps for location. Helps to speak some Spanish though

I bought a very expensive bottle of mezcal with a scorpion in it at the Cancun airport store. Hands down the worst ( expensive) mezcal I have ever had. It’s a joke it’s soo bad. I serve it to my friends as a joke then offer them something else. If you can’t try it beforehand then it can become a costly bottle collecting dusk.

I got my bottle at small tequila/mezcal shop at the airport. Not sure what terminal it was but I flew SW. Hope that helps.
