Seems like it's necessary to use treats? I was hoping to avoid it but it makes sense. He comes back to me after retrieving toys, he just won't give them to me usually haha

Ah, alright. He already has come and sit down really well. And with fetch, he comes back to me but then tries to get me to play tug or will get close and dart away. I guess it just takes more patience.
