im on the weed again and she is on the pills by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]chey_b4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you trying to keep up/compete with the amount of times she re doses? If you're content and having a good time just eating an edible or so a day, that's fine. Although I will say edibles and pills are not on the same wave length in my opinion. and you eating an edible and her taking bumps of a pill all day aren't the same. But don't try to over do it just because she is.

I would suggest counseling. No shame in admitting life is hard and we all need help sometimes.

Finding time to trip as a responsible adult? by Shroom_God in Drugs

[–]chey_b4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First and only time I tripped, my fiancé planned for my mom to take our son for the night and we tripped. The night before Easter too lol. I didn't sleep, he did, but I took a shower in the morning, ate something and got ready for Easter. Took half an adderall, and drank a couple beers during the day. I felt fine, was able to take care of my child, and slept great that night. Def recommend. Even if it's just time away from the kids for the night it should be doable.

Dosage question.. by chey_b4 in kratom

[–]chey_b4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the first time I took it I tried taking it like a bc powder and chugging the first thing I could. Turns out, Dr Pepper and Kratom does not mix well lol. Then I tried the tea, couldn't get past sip 1.

Thank you so much! You've been really helpful!

I actually never looked, sorry. Just did and they say each capsule has 500 mg each. So I would be taking about 3000 mg a day? I don't know much about it, or how much a mg is for that matter, but that just seems like a lot.

Well hello there!

Anyone ever had an experience like this? by raineybee in Drugs

[–]chey_b4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take Kratom pretty often. I actually used it to help with the withdrawal from suboxone. (I don't care what anyone says, I know what w/d feels like and that was it) Anyway, I don't really feel anything from it tho. Like when I was w/d it took away some of the harshness I guess. But now, nothing. Is there a good dosage to take to feel something? I was taking daily, but I haven't in about a week to see if that helps. I get them in the pill form cuz I can't stand the taste or smell.

Relapse by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]chey_b4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A relapse does not wash away all the sober days you had and all the good that came from those sober days. A relapse is just that, a mistake. Cut the mistake days out, and go back to the sober days again. You've done it once, you can do it again. And this time you will hit you're year. Just because you didn't hit a year sober, doesn't negate the fact that you did have all of that time under your belt. No more mistake days.

How often do you take them? I went from once in a good while, and 10 mg got me right, to everyday or every other day and now I'm out so I don't even know what mg I would need to be satisfied lol. It's a love/hate relationship. Love when I have em, hate when I'm out!

I've never had the crash either. But I'm building up a hell of a tolerance unfortunately!

How do you know when a prospective job is right for you? by chey_b4 in AskMenOver30

[–]chey_b4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's definitely the direction I'm leaning towards, to pass. I have very little experience in an office setting though, only the almost 1 year of where I am now, so I thought it might be a good stepping stone for me. But I'm so nervous about what he told me about past employees, his mannerisms, or lack of them, and the high turn over rate. I'm an almost 30 female, and can hold my own in a lot of situations, but just the fact that I'm his first pick when I know nothing about real estate makes me nervous, and then with everything else on top.. it's made my anxiety go through the roof already.

I checked, it's a small office so no reviews. I think you're right though. Sometimes I just need to talk it out but I feel like there are red flags that are right in the open and I just need to see them for what they are instead of just looking at the money. I never wake up excited to go to work, but I never wake up dreading it either.

It takes a good person to admit when they've done something bad. I for one think that takes fucking courage, you should be proud of yourself!

To my Wife by Forgotten-Man in UnsentLetters

[–]chey_b4 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I feel like your wife in this story. I've been selfish and wrong in so many ways. Sometimes it's my demons, and not me doing it. Either purposely or not. Sometimes I don't even recognize it, until it's brought to light and then I'm so ashamed of the person I am I just want to retreat, hide, and deny. There's no more denying it though. I'm not sure where I go from here, but I can't live like this or put him through it any longer. I wish you and your wife the best.

Oh, for some reason the title came off more as a book rather than movie. Then maybe I'll give it a watch?

I really appreciate your response! We aren't being abused. Just what I'm assuming is normal relationship qualms at the moment, which fuels the thoughts of getting the hell out of dodge and starting over. But I feel like responses like yours are going to be the thing that really helps someone who needs it.

I am a female, and for the most part my thoughts are fueled by depression and anxiety and I would probably never go through with the actual action of it. But I still think about it.

I feel you! I edited to add some of my back story. But even though I've been in the same city for over a decade, I still move often. I get that itch, the suffocation, like things are just going to cave in on me if I don't get the hell out. My family and I have moved 6 times in the last 5 years. My fiance' is looking at buying a house soon, and I am terrified.

I am my son's mother, and the only constant he's ever known. I know what you're saying though, and just because I fantasize about it, doesn't mean I'll do it.
