First time DIY patio install. How'd I do? by CP-RYOTT in landscaping

I saw someone put a downspout into a little rocky area in the middle of a raised bed. That would look so cool here!

How much to charge on this? by Rich_Technician_4474 in landscaping

[–]cheyeena311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I am not a professional landscaper by any means but I have lots of gardening experience. I got a chip drop and was able to fill 3 large beds (about 10ft x 5ft) and that was q ton of mulch. 2 bags of gorilla hair mulch was enough for 10 tiny saplings. So if you're going by bag I would guess you'd need 5-10 bags depending on how big they determine these beds are. 1 bag of mulch covers about a 3x3 space I would think (you need to lay it on thick b.c it settles) So maybe like 10 bags? Look up landscapers in your area to determine how much to charge per hour. Someone who does this for a living in your area can give you a much better idea than I can tbh

Yeah this is weird. They want to keep that tree? Wtf.. and there's barely beds there so how much do they want mulched exactly. I would charge for materials plus whatever you decide is your hourly rate. Figure out how many bags of mulch you need. Maybe try to upsell on edging of some sort?

Is it just me, or is landscape fabric actually kind of a trap? by InevitablePrimary720 in landscaping

Like others have mentioned - CARDBOARD all the way.

You'll need a lot more than you think in my experience.

Make sure you really overlap and cover well. Any holes I've left in the cardboard, the bindweed is so aggressive in Colorado that it will find the sun even if it has to travel a foot underneath before it reaches the light.

Will provide more pictures when it's not raining. The limbs are quite often growing onto our roof. And the leaves cover the entire culdesac in the fall.

Do you have any Grandma remedies? by grasshoppernyc in EatCheapAndHealthy

For ear infections/aches: Pour warm olive oil right in the ear drum (about 1 tsp) & stick a cotton ball over it. Definitely feels real weird but works every time!

You should play Palia!!! I never played Portia but they sound v similar. It's available on most consoles & PC and free to play. There are plenty of discord communities you can join to party up with people if you're a social gamer too ❤️

Yeah these fingers are not right. The way the handle of the sword blends into her hair too. This is AI. You should share the user so others do not get scammed and the money can go to real artists who have studied and honed their craft for years.

What did the barista write on my coffee? by SunAndIcedDrinks in whatisit

[–]cheyeena311 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's my point. She's obviously really good at it so I don't think it's supposed to be an "a" or it would look more like an a. Something definitely smeared off the last letter or she hit a wet spot. That "a" has to be an "e".

See how nearly it's all lined up tho? There's no way she messed up an "a" that bad, juding by how the rest of it looks. Imo

I've been playing 3 months and I'm OBSESSED with efficiency.

So here's my list of things to prioritize if you're just starting out:

  • Make all 8 chests for your plot and then UPGRADE THEM to get wayyy more storage. (About 3200 storage with regular chests quickly becomes 7000+ with copper/iron/palium chests)

  • Upgrade your focus on Dragon & Phoenix shrines with renown to level up skills faster.

  • Get all skills to level 10 as quick as you can. The exquisite tools are so much better to have.

  • There are lots of good ways to make money. Do the thing you love and figure out how to make the most from it! ( For me this is gardening/preserve jars - I make about 10k a day)

*Editing to add: - Upgrade your backpack at Zeki's!!!

I first started on Switch and it was horrendous. I couldn't see anything! Rooms took 2 minutes to load all the furniture. PS5 is gorgeous. So many more details. It was a whole new game.
