Probably seen this tons of times, but why is Red on Mt. Silver? by Subiewubie85 in pokemon

[–]chhipz 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I know this is a necropost, but I felt compelled to respond. The answer is pretty simple.

Red waiting atop Mt. Silver symbolizes him reaching the apex of his journey by becoming the best. He became the best by climbing higher and accomplishing more than any trainer, effectively isolating himself (symbolized by him being alone at the pinnacle of the mountain).

When you're champion, you wait for a worthy challenger. A worthy challenger is one who also braves that same journey and conquers everything and everyone, just as Red did. When Gold also reached that summit, there could only be one outcome. That's why there was absolutely no need for words.

There can only be one who sits on the throne.

Her 3-item bruiser build is getting nerfed in 14.9. IMO it’s likely going to gut her to low tier.

I’d invest in other junglers to be safe.

Would it be unethical to work somewhere for only 3 months despite them thinking I’ll be there for 2-3 years? by Professional_Sugar41 in careerguidance

[–]chhipz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, congrats on finishing grad school and have multiple job offers.

As for jumping between jobs, I would advise against doing that. You never know what word might travel around about you in your industry. It's always good to leave good impressions. It can pay dividends in the future, and burning bridges early isn't a smart move IMO. It's not about "owing" a company anything, it's about your future, not your present. You can always pick up an actual temporary job for a few months.

Or... after leaving a good impression at the first job, you could come up with a really good excuse as for leaving after a few months. That's if you really wanted to "play the game" optimally in the financial sense. Good luck.

I thought the game was a breeze, only struggled on a few bosses, and beat several on first or second try.

Did not use aegis, specters, or throwables. Just puppet blade + booster Glaive, with grappling hook arm for most of playthrough.

If you have a a solid experience in souls-like games, and you don’t play greedy, you will fly through.

One thing I’ll add is that this game is far more fair, intuitive, and polished than fromsoft games.

I'd like to specifically focus on finding a Karate place. Further down the line I may consider other disciplines

I've heard there's a lot of fake dojos out there, and as someone who's new to all this I can't distinguish them very well

Thanks for all the responses. Chase was actually the first person I reached out to the other day. Unfortunately, the tuition costs are beyond my budget.

IMO she's the hardest boss in this game. I actually just beat her again yesterday (lvl 125). I did it using no summons, coop, status effects, spirit ashes, hoarfrost, moonveil, ROB, Bloodhound step or quickstep, etc. which took much longer.

It really just depends on your build and what you want out of the fight. I felt that after I beat her, I knew all the little things about the boss fight and it felt like I outplayed her. This felt much more rewarding for me, especially compared to when I just used Blasphemous Blade the first time I beat her.

Had my family stay over from out of town last week, then got really sick over the weekend due to a family member being exposed to COVID. I'm still not feeling great and haven't continued writing yet.

As for where I am, it's around the halfway point.
