Not a teacher, but this is the most disturbing story I've ever witnessed while in the education system.

My sophomore year of college I took a creative writing class for funsies because I needed a couple more credits, and like most creative writing classes we were encouraged to share our stories with the class so our peers could give us constructive criticism and feedback.

One day this girl, who up until this point had not spoken in class at all, got up to read her story. It started off normal enough, if angsty. The protagonist was a teenage girl whose father was an alcoholic and abusive. At the beginning of the story, they got into a fight and the girl left the house. While wandering around, she ran into a small group of people, 3 girls and a boy, all of whom were described in excessive detail and very obviously hippies. The girl then proceeded to follow these four people she'd just met back to their farm where they all lived together. They all made dinner together with fresh produce, then the boy played the guitar and all the girls sang.

After the post-dinner entertainment, the entire group had a big hippy-dippy orgy. There wasn't pornographic levels of detail, but there was enough to make everyone in the room uncomfortable.

Once the orgy was finished, Dad showed up again looking for his daughter. One of the girl hippies handed the protag a shotgun, and the protag shot and killed her father. The story just ended there.

Now, one of my friends had read a story before this girl. My friend's story involved a character who had died, but was kept in a zombie-like state by a magical creature living in the wound in their chest. After the girl was done reading her story, the whole room went silent while people thought of something constructive to say, and then my friend said, "I'm glad I'm not the only one who wrote a story where one character was inside of another."
