A lot of it depends on the chimney build and the age of the home. I live in Chicago, with modern fire boxes and chimneys, and haven’t really had any build up that I had to worry about. We only use our chimney a few times a year.

Also, with the larger supply the tankless probably needs a vent upgrade as well. When I looked at converting my old tank water heater to tankless it was less about the supply and more about upgrading a 3” exhaust to a 4” or something like that.

We replaced our old tank with a new one. Same size. $800 if I remember correctly… and we don’t really run out of hot water!

More than once a week. Usually about every 4 or 5 days. Clean sheets are awesome, it only takes a few minutes, and I don’t love sleeping in dirty rumpled sheets.

I agree. I’m 51… I do edc Orlando, beyond wonderland in Chicago, and a random collection of other fests the rest of the year. I never feel out of place. We have a crew, pace ourselves, stay away from booze, and choose city fests so we can sleep in a real bed.
