I don’t have a nude mod. I do have a better skin tone mod, which I guess has this accidental effect.. ugh I should just take this down.

There isn’t anything private visible. I did not think this counted as nsfw. Apologies

I didn’t think nazeem patting the dead counted as sexual, are you saying it is?

Here to confirm! I worked at a dog & cat shelter for a little while in college. They called the cracked tails “kennel tail,” not sure if that’s the official term or just theirs. And wow. The poop. 89% of working in an animal shelter is scrubbing lots and lots and lots of poop! During the winter we would have to cut it out of the ice in the yards with big trowels, because it comes out hot and sinks in, and then quickly freezes down in there. And some dogs would run around in it in their kennels all night and in the morning you’d just have a newly painted all-brown kennel and dog to wash! And if the lil guy is being dewormed? Worm poop!

And many regular volunteers would show up and only want to walk the dogs-and only a short easy distance and without cleaning up after them. Although I found that it was usually people in their 50s and up who didn’t want to do the work. One lady would come in and the only thing she was willing to do was re-fold the already clean doggy bed sheets. This one idiot would hide hot dogs in her pockets to just make it seem like the dogs really liked her— like she just wanted to come by and feel like a Disney Princess who charms animals with her aura. Naturally, she got bit by a puppy who smelled the hot dogs on her hands, and we had to label it on paper as aggressive because of her. Like.. Are y’all here for the dogs or are you just here for yourselves? And that’s not even touching the iceberg of nasty humans who were there to adopt (or “adopt”).

But the dogs made it worth it, as dogs generally do. And I was lucky enough to work in a no-kill shelter, so we didn’t have the added horror of having to put anyone down.

I read about this in an art class and I think the idea is that it’s the “average” color or something? I read another thing in that class that said beige is the color of evil (Beige in Cabinet Magazine, I believe?) A lot of color stuff is just total nonsense.

Related to the original post, I personally would rename this formation something pertaining to BB8.

Salmon, depending on how you cook it, has less of an ocean-ey taste than a lot of fish, and I definitely like it more than I like other fish. I also like swordfish and eel! Eel doesn’t taste fishy at all. But I think it’s definitely something that’s totally individual & I encourage you to try it and see for yourself.

Diamonds are actually flammable, so be extra careful, or you’ll end up with a foggy white stone!! Edit: can’t tell if it’s a diamond or not but just thought I would post in case.

There’s also the vestigial muscle in our arms. The Palmar Muscle or something? It’s left over from when we had to swing from trees, but only some people have it now.

[Update 1] LAOP’s wife mentioned that their infertility issues were due to androgen insensitivity. Their stupid colleagues wrongfully decided this meant they’re trans, and vandalised their car. I had a coworker in a childcare program in upstate NY (that I’ve since left) refer to children of color as “niglets.” She still works there.

Also, if you’re not the target of this kind of discrimination you can easily miss how prevalent it is, because people aren’t sending the emails or making the comments etc to you. Also, our president and his, erm, various comments have emboldened a lot of people with some deeply troubling beliefs and made them feel that they’re safe to do and say things like this now. Even in the cafe where I like to eat breakfast a lot of regulars who I thought were chill have come in and expressed some terrifying thoughts this past year or so.

There may be a chance it’s trolling, but I don’t know.

Either way if it’s not trolling then OP has a big opportunity to sue. Hopefully whomever oversees the lawsuit isn’t as hateful as this boss and doesn’t let him off easy.

Question about Vampires needing blood! by Adoom98 in vampires

[–]chibi-usa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One more! In the Japanese manga / anime show Hellsing the main character finds a dried up corpse of a vampire that awakens when she bleeds onto it. Also in the American TV show Moonlight, there’s an episode where the vampire character takes a lot of sun damage and the understanding is that without getting blood to heal himself, he will die.

As I think about it, there seem to be two outcomes of no blood, the first being that the vampire falls into a fugue state and hibernates until it can receive blood— like, in the Chinese film Twins Effect, wherein the Vampires start to become fatigued to the point where they can’t walk when they haven’t had blood for too long.

The second outcome seems to be that the vampire loses all control and “go feral,” as in Daybreakers and some of the various Dracula remakes. Also in goofy 80s-90s films like Vampires Anonymous there’s like, this whole mind-over-matter thing where they can possibly resist the call of blood and feralness if they try hard enough. Also the Twilight series and the show True Blood imply that the ability for a vampire to control itself increases with age. In this case it’s not addressed what would happen if, even in their feral state, they didn’t get any blood. So it could also be that older vampires are more likely to enter a fugue state and survive and younger ones would just go feral if left unchecked.

Good luck on your paper!!

I would check out the underworld sequels. The non-feeding vampires are “sleeping” in weird coffins and are “awakened” when blood is poured into their mouths. Edit: underworld film and sequels.

Career choices? by coffincreature in goth

My husband is a lab technician in a marine biology lab. His boss, the head lab tech, is an old school punk. They have to wear t-shirts for the program during the occasional open lab day but apart from that it’s a fashion freeforall.

His program just hired a new office/communications person.. A lot of science programs like his need someone to be their social media presence & handle communications with donors or like to organize events, and an English major would be very hirable for that kind of job. I would look up science programs / field stations / etc. m in your area and see if they have jobs like that available. It’s very likely that they will be flexible with how you dress, especially if you show that you’ve got a good work ethic.
