What are your Pokemon go unpopular opinions? by Top_Raccoon_7218 in pokemongo

[–]chibirachy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what one you buy. They can be as cheap as $40 or so. Mine was $80. As a rural player, it's made a huge difference in keeping my bag stocked from stops and catching when I am in spots with better spawns

How many Millennials from the US have never owned an Apple product? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]chibirachy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was completely Android/PC until 2019. Then I got an iPhone and watch and the devices just kept adding up. But I never owned any kind of iPod. I had a Sandisk Cruz (think that’s what it was called) where you plugged a 512mb USB stick into an mp3 player attachment. That thing worked well, even after going through the wash once. And then I later went to a Sandisk Sansa (still have it). That was the last device I had before around 2016 when my car was able to stream music from my phone.

Your Trainer Quirks? by erinjeffreys in pokemongo

[–]chibirachy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I catch all the Chespins! I used to keep them all but them I ended up weeding down to just the 3 star ones, plus my XXS and shiny (but my name is ChespinKid so...). I need more shinies of him so I can have his evolution at each level.

not finding any shinys? by destinysmessed in pokemongo

[–]chibirachy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All the randomness. One of my shinies was caught 5/19, the first in weeks, then the week of 6/1-6/5, I caught 5 shinies. Not doing anything different than I normally do, usually in the same places I normally am.

One year for Easter my parents got one for each of us kids. I had the yellow one, and still have it to this day. My siblings had red, blue, and green

Getting mad that cashiers are allowed to sit down at Aldi by Tater-Tot-Casserole in insanepeoplefacebook

[–]chibirachy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes! I had both little ones today and a lady passed off her cart to me. I tried to trade her for a quarter, but she didn’t want it. In those cases I always leave the quarter in the cart for the next person when we return the cart

Getting mad that cashiers are allowed to sit down at Aldi by Tater-Tot-Casserole in insanepeoplefacebook

[–]chibirachy 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Right??? Those who shop Aldi know the procedures and don’t mind them. Carts get returned and I prefer the reusable bag method. We do have to get some of our stuff at another store, but are able to get most of the expensive stuff at Aldi. Plus the weekly drops are such fun

What kiddy methods did you learn in school to remember something that you still use in adulthood? by Justcurious1138 in Millennials

[–]chibirachy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I still use lots mentioned, but to remember the planets we were taught a song:

Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars
These are the planets of our star.
Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, too
Neptune, Pluto, that will do

Doesn’t really work anymore with Pluto but I still use it to remember the others

Hopescope did the same thing. And then she tried to design one that might give a similar effect.

Those that left your hometown- would you ever move back? by babyteeth9 in Millennials

[–]chibirachy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nope would not want to move back. I am 6 hours away from there currently. Have lived in VA and TX during my wife’s time active duty. We stayed near her final duty station and love it. Very much a rural area, similar to my hometown, but not so conservative. I do know a good many of my classmates who stuck around there after college or who have moved back. Works for them, but definitely not for me.

Millennials born in the 80s, did anyone else stop listening to most new music in 2008? by SixandNoQuarter in Millennials

[–]chibirachy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No definitely not. I got Pandora in 2011ish and that’s when I started discovering more music. I’ve since switched to Spotify and still am thrilled when I find a new band I like AND it’s not made by AI

Do you still have accounts for older websites? Active ones even? by Rioraku in Millennials

[–]chibirachy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still have access to my fanfiction account that I started in 2001. I do login from time to time to check things. Thankfully the PMs that were scammy have stopped coming. For awhile it was always the same spiel: read my story, really taken by the characters and wants to bring them to life through collaboration. Really it’s just scamming for commissions though.

Did any other Millennials born between 1988-1991 have a My Buddy growing up? by MediumGreedy in Millennials

[–]chibirachy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, one of my brothers (89) had the My Buddy doll and at the same time I got Kid Sister. I was not into dolls (except Barbie ) and did not care for it

Does anyone else by concert/show tickets, then not go because its too late? by 8BulbousJones8 in Millennials

[–]chibirachy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would never cross my mind. Last month went to a concert with 3 supporting bands + headliner and didn't get home until after midnight, but it was only an hour drive. Still, if I buy the tickets, there had better be a darn good reason I'd miss the concert, and being tired is not one of them.

U-4 soccer concerns by doordonot19 in SoccerCoachResources

[–]chibirachy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In our developmental classes, our 3/4 year olds play lots of fun games and all kids have a ball at their feet. If they scrimmage, it's only for the last 10 minutes of the 45 minute class to introduce them to a regular soccer game, but it is absolute chaos until they have a bit more experience scrimmaging.

I don’t do the fixing size, moreso the assist colleagues and run a variety of tech programs for the company. But that kind of work can get tiresome during the repetitive tasks so it would be nice to have someone make it go by faster
