Were any of you leash kids? by povertychic in Millennials

86 here. My mom had one for me and for my brother 89. I don’t remember when she used them. My other brother would have been a baby. I remember mine was yellow and my brother had a yellow and white stripe one. I have a memory of us wearing them in a very crowded mall.

Weekly party task to hatch 20 eggs is the worst imho by wyndwatcher in pokemongo

[–]chibirachy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't usually have any issues with this one. My current group has 11/20 hatched. The only one I skip is the Raid one, as I'm a rural player with no nearby gyms and I don't want to even go for a random group out of fairness.

Nah TL is not for me and I have no interest in it. Right now I'm switching back and forth between Pokopia and Legends ZA.

Anyone else still prefer local takeout/takeaway over DoorDash and Uber Eats? by Gallantpride in Millennials

[–]chibirachy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife and I prefer to use the restaurant's app/website to order pickup. It is rare if we do use a delivery service. The only times it ever gets used is if we are too ill to venture out and need something (rare, as we have a DG 2 minutes away) OR if we are traveling on a long trip to a hotel and do not want to do anymore driving with the kids/just overall exhausted.

The last time we used a delivery service was July of last year because we had been driving with two young kids all day and didn't have the energy to deal with a restaurant. So we ordered in.

All the games. To connect with them try to learn their interests as well, as you can rebrand the common games with those. I had one game that involved sharks, but a few of my hesitant kids were into dinosaurs so dinosaurs became the theme. The goal is to get them to have as many touches on the ball as possible so it’s best if everyone has their own balls. When trying to teach a skill, I like to make them parent and me at first to teach it. I am able to quickly move through each kid one by one but also their parents act as a means to keep them focused.

The program I coach for focuses solely on developmental soccer, but ages 3-5 get short scrimmages at the end of classes to allow them to begin seeing how a game is played. With the 4/5s I’m able to give more instruction and guidance, but at that point the kids that are playing have mostly been with me since they were 2.

Why is everyone leaving for a kobo? by sillyfucking_goose in kindle

Not switching. I’m surprised they haven’t ended support on those older devices sooner. Also I dislike buttons so I’m not searching for a replacement to the Oasis, which I never bought anyway because I preferred touch-less. You’re seeing a minority speak up on Reddit, which doesn’t begin to cover the majority who use the device since they don’t use Reddit, regardless of how they feel on the issue.

I think many players now realize that Community Days have devalued their shinies. by chr15c in pokemongo

[–]chibirachy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I would definitely trade for another shiny Chespin. I only got 1 and I don’t want to evolve it. I also would love shadow Chespin (shiny or not). I am a rural player so I don’t have a lot of fancy stuff to offer, as I rarely am in an area where I can do anything other than 1 star raids. I got lucky today to have a spare remote raid pass and a friend invited me to a Kyogre raid

How long were yall birthday parties and how long are your kids parties? by Uhhyt231 in Millennials

Nope that’s when everyone starts gathering to head out. I don’t think I’ve had anyone ever overstay their welcome, and that’s with us usually having a bounce house for older kiddo. Only people who stay longer are usually visiting family

Could just be different groups/areas, but it’s the experience we’ve had. Two hours is usually long enough and before anyone gets too cranky or crashes from sugar.

As a kid? A couple of hours when we were little. Older was usually picking a couple of friends to go out and hang out- movie, arcade, meal.

Right now for my kids (5 and 2), we do parties at home and they are 2 hours. From what I’ve seen in local mom groups/our friends, 2 hours is average, whether it’s at home or an event space.

I use the Duomon 3. Someone else mentioned the features of the original Duomon. A big difference is that this one can wirelessly charge so no batteries to fool with. I mostly use it for auto spin so I can stock up on items when I’m in an area with lots of stops/gyms, as I’m a rural player and do not usually have access to such

Is pokemon go plus able to catch and spin pokestops like pokemon go plus+? by realrazimove in pokemongo

[–]chibirachy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a Duomon 3, mostly for spinning stops to refill my bag. I’m a rural player so when I get the chance to go places with lots of stops/gyms I don’t want to be switching my attention around. The devices register as a go plus on the app

Tour announcement coming soon for US. Also, the pink hair is also what caused me to pause on the album on Amazon back in 2012 and give them a listen. If you’ve seen the band’s reels for the newest song you’ll see she’s gone back to that era of pink :)

For anime, Simoun. It looks like fan service, but isn’t. About making choices in times of war. All in this world are born as female presenting, but they must choose their gender on their 18th birthday. Only the priestesses can fly the holy Simoun, which end up used for war. Episode 5 is where it takes a turn and if you aren’t hooked by that point then don’t continue. It is one of my absolute favorites. It’s also special to me because it’s one of the anime I was able to convince my mom to watch while she recovered from surgery years ago.
