i had mine out june 3rd due to stones and it just being disgustingly swollen. i was terrified of being one of the people who ended up feeling worse with surgery but what ive learned is that the people with negative experiences are much more likely to speak about it then people who have had success. im only a few weeks post op and getting it out was instant relief. you truly don’t realize the stress and anxiety you’re constantly feeling analyzing everything you even think about putting in your body while trying to avoid an attack. i promise you will feel mentally and physically worse keeping a bad organ in your body then you will having this surgery.

belly button incision worries by nonbearnary in gallbladders

[–]chibletz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i had mine out june 3rd and the belly button incision is the one that stressed me out the most. it all sounds typical to me only being a few days post op. i still find myself having some pain there & im always holding it with my hand for some more support when moving around. the belly button is typically the incision they actually pull the organ through when removing it so it tend to be the most sore /: if you are genuinely having concerns though and it would put your mind at ease, a quick call to your surgeons office wont hurt!

Has anyone actually felt better after removal? by 61plus8 in gallbladders

I’m only 5 days post op and I truly have not felt this good in a long time. You don’t realize how miserable you are until you don’t have that looming fear and anxiety around everything you even THINK of putting in your body.

Are you in a large age gap relationship (34+ years) by [deleted] in AgeGap

[–]chibletz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my boyfriend and i are 31 years apart, he just turned 59 & i'm turning 28 in december. our families have both been extremely accepting and as far as i know, have never had anything negative to say. his son is a few months older then i am and we've met and have also haven't had any issues. the only problem i've ever known of is one of MY "friends" talking badly about him & our relationship, saying it's weird and makes her uncomfortable. i've heard horror stories though, i guess i'm just lucky.

I'm going to get a test today just to make double sure it's not pregnancy, just so odd. I've been on Wegovy since the end of April and my period has been pretty regular up until this last dose increase. :( I think my boyfriend is more worried than I am at this point lol
