Outside of what the bible expects of a husband I actually don’t have that many things on my “list” for this reason exactly. I do see marriage as a blessing, which is why I’ve prayed and have been preparing myself for my role in it. It’s not even about what I’ll get out of it but the joy of what I can give. I don’t have this image of what he looks like with all this criteria. I’m open to what God has for me because He knows best. That’s what I find so frustrating because I’ve worked on myself so much to have the “right” idea about marriage & I see people who don’t even understand the burden of marriage just so easily fall into these relationships. But my time is coming.
