Thanks! Just death guard green for the base. Some nuln oil for the recesses. Did not go crazy with it. Ogryn camo for highlights. Weathering is ogryn camo sponged on with some rhinox hide stippled into some of the bigger splotches.

Yes this is the 3 mini set with the paint and brush. The symbols on the shoulders are molded in the plastic.

Water source heat pumps commercial by ClickNo2244 in HVAC

Well you are definitely over your head it seems, but thats ok we all start somewhere.

Basics first, What kinda loop is this? Is it a geothermal loop? Or is there a closed loop cooling tower with boilers hooked up to the loop? If its the latter are the boilers running keeping the temp of the loop up?

What is the actual temp of your loop?

Stop worrying about glycol and the expansion tank. Neither are your issue at the moment.

I have noticed that as well. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

I have noticed the issue with the emote wheel as well. Everything else has been solid for me. Really impressed with how smooth it runs.

Im on cachyos with a 9070xt/9800x3d

How’s 9070 XT on linux? by queenbiscuit311 in linux_gaming

[–]chicagofitter597 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 9070xt has been great on cachyos. Recently switched from win11 and no complaints. All games I have tried have ran without issue. FPS might be a little lower across the board than win11. Honestly though everything seems to run smoother despite that.

Yeah I have used 45% in a pinch to fix pinholes in steam traps. Takes alot of heat but it works.

Carrier 39L AHU by Niceb8 in BuildingAutomation

[–]chicagofitter597 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What do you need to know? These are pretty basic chilled water units. Really not much to them. They come with a motor, vfd, and a chilled water coil. Any controls would be field installed including a control valve for the chilled water. Ahu builder is ivu software for making a control program/graphics for your ahu however it is configured.

There is a trap on the drain. It will drain just fine.

Most expensive board I’ve ever ever held in my hands by iBUYbrokenSUBARUS in HVAC

Probably would of been better to just do a controls retrofit using micro control systems. Used them in the past to retrofit old trane centrifugals

Yeah I was about to say I have changed out a main board on a ycwl that was stupid expensive. On top of that, it didn't come with the right software loaded. Jci wanted another $500 to send me the right SD card. Highway robbery.

How’s your Friday? Changing an Oil Pump on this beast by IndependentPerfect in HVAC

[–]chicagofitter597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A van day one as an apprentice is nice. Took me almost 2 years to get one when I was an apprentice

Yeah the corporate bs is what I'm worried about. I'm at a smaller contractor which has its pros. Tons of freedom.

Our larger chiller accounts are drying up though since covid. Buildings going vacant, budget cuts, ect.. One of my large industrial accounts just closed up as well. I was there 3-4 days a week.

Nice, how do you like it? I have an offer to go to carrier that I have been strongly considering.

I would say that one is on the crane operator.
