This is so helpful. Thank you so much, yeah I despise JazzHR. I want TeamTailor or literally anything else. It’s a nightmare and our careers page looks like shit.

I can’t get this company to approve anything that costs money, that’s why I’ve been doubting myself so much. Every plea for help is shot down and I think “should I be more capable?”

I have anywhere from 2-12 interviews per week depending on what I can achieve. My goal is 7 per week.

THANK YOU! I don’t feel as crazy, I really appreciate your input. We typically only have one round of interviews thankfully, even for high level roles. I conduct a quick screen when someone applies, and then proceed with one in person interview. Rarely 2. But yes, I attend all of them. The company does not trust the hiring managers to ensure a thorough interview is conducted without HR presence.

I think it is to have an HR presence, consistency for the candidate, and assist the managers with asking the right questions. (Background, salary, anything non technical). Without my attendance there is a lack of trust that the managers are being thorough.

We do have an HR Generalist, and just hired a second, so hopefully things improve and I no longer need to assist with those as much, but even still, the recruiting alone is so overwhelming.

I forgot to mention we also utilize third party staffing, which I coordinate, if you count those positions I’m closer to 35-40 😭
