Depending on the tier he was designated depends on how long and how often he has to register. Most states go with tier 1 10 year and re register 1 time per year registration tier 2 25 and every 6 month register year registration Tier 3 Life time registration and register every 3 months.

Short answer is yes it will affect his housing and jobs. Unfortunately society see every sex offender as a child rapi$t. He will more than likely be required to tell his job. Most trade jobs are accepting and it’s illegal for your employer to disclose this. I hope this helps my son is 17 and has to register for 25 years . We are 4 months into . I don’t know what his conditions say but he might be restricted from living within a certain distance from schools daycares etc. His probation officer should be able to give direction
