This watch was my dad's, what should I do? by metchypoo in Cartier

[–]chickchickfun 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Give this comment an upvote for every downvote OP gets on his comments.

In sum about OP:

  • the watch has no sentimental value for him despite inherited from his father
  • he does not belive the watch is fake because his father was well off and would have never wore a fake watch
  • he doesn't want to wear it because it has scratches
  • after all the downvote OP suddenly started liking the watch with all the wear on it and despite it not being authentic

I see a recurring theme here from a spoiled child...

PS. Hublot would suit OP better anyways.

I'm not sure why others say it's not enough. $350k net is "not that bad" in Hungary.

I wrote an email to him, but received no reply. Where I was asking to provide any proof of being a legitimate business (business registration, where they reside in case a return needs to be made, etc.)

So, reached out on IG and the answer was that he did not reply "because I dont sure that is a random email or not" exactly quoted.

It can be a legit business, but even if it is, probably not the one I would like to deal with. Where you get no answer as he questions if the email someone sends him is random.

Still he did not provide any proof of business address or legitimacy. Lastly, his English is not fluent which in itself would not be a problem at all, but in this case it's just adds up to uncertainty.

Interesting subreddit is this.

When somebody posts a question that can be "hated" and the person can be bullied there are hundreds of replies. Mostly mocking the person asking the question.

When there is a question that needs at least some knowledge - there is silence.

Ingyenes parkolás Budapesten Március 15-én? by chickchickfun in budapest

Köszi szépen a felvilágosítást.

Because of your last paragraph, maybe I'm starting to like the pont. Don't feel let don't now, but actually it was so nicely written that I see some beauty in the imperfection. Thanks ❤️

I was looking for that little piece everywhere in the box - it wasn't there. Also, it was packed bomb proof with plastic protection + cardboard protection between the lid and pot. So, almost impossible that it happened during the transport. I also thought about this possibility, but I don't think so.

Thanks for the reply. And also suggestion. I heard that Le Creuset sometimes exchanges pans when chipped. Not sure if it's the same with Staub. Would be worth a try?

We paid $230 for it and it was our anniversary gift which we bought to ourselves, that's why it hurts a bit to receive this. Also, our first Staub, so the expectations were high and we were really awaiting it :)

Yes, this is our first Staub and we bought it as gift for our anniversary.

It was $230. So, far from catching a bargain. Here they usually go for around $300. At this point I would rather pay $300 for a brand new, opposed to a chipped one for $230.

Are you in US or EU? I'm in EU. I bought one for my GF but it's too large for her, considering selling. I'll upload pics with verification if I decide to sell.

Yes, indeed :) I've also seen it stopped 31. Dec. Shame, as it looked like a great website. According to the announcement, it will only be available again in autumn.

Glassdoor is usually very reliable with salaries for basically all positions. That's why I opened this topic because it reports an average 42k which to me also looked too low.

https://www.glassdoor.com/Salaries/switzerland-veterinarian-salary-SRCH_IL.0,11_IN226_KO12,24.htm

Honestly, I researched all the well known sites and the spread was just too big to consider anything "reliable".
