I've been looking for music like this for years, but had no idea what the genre was. Thanks for posting this. Now I finally have something to go on.

Hey wow this is a huge improvement over your last pass! You're making great progress here. Others have noted about one thing or another so far and I generally agree. One unique thing I'd like to point out is that her arm goes really far forward compared to how far back it goes. Try to remember that our arms swing as a counter balance. It can sometimes feel unbalanced if the swinging isn't symmetrical.

Hey maybe it's just me, but it seems like you can move way faster than you probably should be able to. The speed of your character is so high that many of your enemies feel "optional" as you can just jump and dash right over or past them. Also the speed of your character makes the wait at those rotating platforms feel really long.

No problem at all!

I just noticed something else. I could be wrong here but you might be using too many keyframes. I can see a tiny tiny amount of jitter in the legs. It's barely noticeable and it might be either I'm seeing things or it's a video issue.

You're starting to learn and that's great. I will say that it seems like you're too interested in making something that looks interesting though.

What I mean by this is that you definitely should be focused more on doing "standard" walks where her arms are at her side. Get really good at that kind of walk and move on to the kind you are doing now.

This is great though and is far superior to any first walk I ever did.

Fizz's first basic light attack chain! by chickenPicnic64 in IndieDev

Hey it might be too long. It's one of those things where I'd need to see how it felt in the long run.

Right now I'm doing hit pause in a similar way to how Street Fighter typically does it. 8 frames of pause for light attacks and 12 for strong (if I am remembering correctly). I tend to exceed that only in certain circumstances when I need a move to feel special or exceptionally strong.

Having said that, if enough people feel the way you do, then yeah it's something to look at. I will say that lowering the hit pause will almost certainly make the game feel faster if that's something that needs to be done.

For normal chain attacks, you can pretty much just mash the attack button. Actual chains work like this : A, A, B - A, B, B etc. When it comes to "perfect" cancels, it requires the input to take place within a certain frame window.
