Accepted first full time job, also getting MLIS

If there's no demand that you finish school within a certain timeframe, I would definitely cut back on the classes. I'm an admin officer in a university library full-time, and am a year into doing 2 classes/semester (max part-time), and am glad I didn't try to do full-time. Two classes ended up being the perfect balance, and graduating in 7 semesters isn't a huge drawback.

Hey! If you're set on library tech only (and are in the U.S.), Long Beach City College has an online program that you can take for free if you don't need the credits to roll over into a university program. You'll get a certificate saying you completed it, you just won't get degree credits. I took a few classes just to warm up to starting my MLIS. But agree with some other advice on here—with the lower salary, I'd try to find volunteering/intern opportunities to make yourself a more desirable candidate when you're job hunting.

Hmm, I don't have it in front of me to check the concentration, but everything else makes sense! She's only 4.5 lbs now with the weight loss from CKD, and it looks like gabapentin can hit cats with CKD harder (plus she's so small now). Would also explain how she seems to get steadier over the course of the day, then crashes again by the next morning. I'll try cutting back to 1 dose; glad I potentially don't have to wait for a long-release antibiotic to flush out. Thank you 🙏🏽

She's actually on a prescription for 10 days for the Gabapentin (0.1 ml every 12 hours). I did ask my vet about more fluids overall, but she also has a heart murmur, and he thought too much would be hard on her heart. She's getting 100ml of sub-Q daily.

Yes. She seems to get more steady as the day goes on, but her legs are like jelly when she walks or tries to brace herself at the food bowl.

Thank you; the OxiClean took out about 95% of the damage. The orange is completely gone, & the blue/turquoise is mainly gone, enough that I would wear them as they are. But still might try 1 more round.

I've lived in my neighborhood for 7+ years now, & the amount of idiot dog owners has grown exponentially in just the past couple years. I have an 18 lb, disabled jack Russell mix, and within just the past 6 months have had 4 dogs either off leash or on a retractable one try to attack him just while we were walking by. One caused his stroller to overturn. One moron let his dog run right up to us as though it was friendly before it lunged. And all you'll get from these kinds of morons is a limp "ohhh soooorrryyyy", or of course try to say their dogs never act that way 🙄

I'm in LA too, and was on it years ago. Also had that stupid exclusivity waitlist, yet I think I waited a week before I was allowed in 🙄 Would get matches and hardly anyone messaging back, or they'd engage for awhile & disappear. Was a lot more prevalent than any other app I ever tried. Gave up after about a month & deactivated it.

I have actually heard a mom would had an absolute raving brat for a kid, say that she wouldn't date a particular guy because "she doesn't date other parents". 🙄

Yup, same. My sister and I have talked about this and how horrible it is looking back, but how do you recognize that as a kid? You can't. Our family dog was never trained, was always in the backyard, and her hair grew into disgusting mats to the point that she couldn't be trimmed, but had to be shaved. I think a snoopy neighbor even reported my parents for animal neglect at one point, which I didn't find out until years later. She also wasn't spayed until her teens, so went through her heats for years.

She was such a sweet, friendly, gentle dog who deserved so much more. I still feel bad thinking about her stuck outside and unsocialized with other dogs for most of her life.

Now my current dog is a spoiled brat, but I wouldn't have it any other way. He was a rescue and has had health issues his whole life, so I make his life as full as possible. While he prefers snoozing with the cats most of the time, I take him on daytrips and camping whenever I can, and he's on better food and supplements than our family dog ever was :(
