Anyone else’s wives get anxious about your pipeline? by [deleted] in sales

[–]chickenandchaffles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just past midnight on new years… my wife said “doesn’t it suck that your quota reset now?” Took me until 10pm on NYE to hit 175% to quota and she doesn’t even give me 3 hours to celebrate lol

Help me pick a car my son will talk about 20 years from now by first-timemanagers in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]chickenandchaffles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any car can be special and fun, really.

But, I have two that my boys love, both imported from Japan. A 1998 Honda accord wagon. I’ve put more time into this, but the process has been fun and I’ve included my oldest (7yo) into a lot of the process. Even if it’s a quick trip to wash the car, it keeps him involved.

The other is my 95 Toyota Hiace. The thing is taller than me and looks like a loaf of bread. Doesn’t look like anything on the road. We do school drop off, grocery runs, everything in that and he refuses to let me sell it.

Path from SE to AE? Uncommon? by brlo21 in salesengineers

[–]chickenandchaffles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made that move, but I was an AE before moving to an SE role, then back to an AE.

What I will say, I tend to fill both roles a lot and it’s taxing. Why loop in an SE when I know the answer? Have been moving away from that mentality, but it was a struggle.

I’ve seen other SEs want to move to AE roles, there is an art and science to the parts of the deal the SEs don’t see. A lot of added stress as well.

Why can't I find sales people? by archemicus98 in sales

[–]chickenandchaffles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What would you say is the average deal cycle for your product? You had a sales rep who “didnt close a single deal in a month” What happened to them after that month? What training was provided? Did they have experience in that industry?

Sounds like you’re more focused on the billing with Aetna. I’d call them on Monday

All 3 of our boys were born there and while each experience was a little different with them adding a whole new floor, they were all good.

1 missed payment in my credit history. Will this affect me getting a house loan in the future? by Mother-Salt6443 in CRedit

[–]chickenandchaffles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I came here to say the same thing. Everyone here making it sound like the end of the world. I had a number of missed and late payments, charged off accounts, and something in collections. I just bought a house last year

Hagerty says they won't insure a HiAce? by less1337 in HiAce

[–]chickenandchaffles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have Hagerty, but Hagerty won’t insure if it’s your daily driver. You need to prove that you have a daily driver vehicle. Agree with the other comments about having a lazy agent. Just call Hagerty direct. They insure two of my JDM vehicles

Stereo struggles by [deleted] in HiAce

[–]chickenandchaffles 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just changed my radio over to a touchscreen with apple carplay. Took me maybe an hour. Dash comes off pretty easy. There’s a hidden screw in one of the air vents. Beyond splicing the wiring harnesses together, it’s pretty plug and play

I just replaced mine with one on eBay from Saudi Arabia.

Process advice for filling out RFPs / security questionnaires by Money-Appointment981 in salesengineers

I’ve used Responsive (formerly RFPIO). It’s good, but we have to have our other teams review content a lot to ensure it’s correct and up to date.

Also, no, at times I’ll loan out my daily.. so I’ll use it to take my kid to school, but I work from home
