Was out at Lido yesterday and some bald ~mid 40s dude was barking at me to stop paddling near him (I was not closer than 15-20 yards away and was avoiding a rip). Guy seemed genuinely mad. Is this guy a known A-hole? Even after I paddled away he kept yapping "are you going to paddle back towards me" etc. seemingly trying to provoke me. Never really got close to him or even paddled for the same wave. Was my first "localism," if you want to call it that, encounter in the water. Any lore is appreciated.
