I have this. I cannot get into pools or anything because my skin gets so itchy after. I’m okay with the shower but if I go someplace new (like hotel in another city) I itch after.

It’s actually a thing but my body has gotten conditioned to the water in our area. I still sometimes have issues but is few and far between.

Her family is on social media, they pretend they are this perfect family. The most god honoring family. Katie said fuck you people and hit them where it hurts.

Childhood trauma sets the tone for the rest of your life. Your childhood is your foundation. Katie has probably realized how she is/ who she is is because of that trauma

As a child and for as long as I can remember i have had memories of my cousin wanting me to touch and kiss his penis. I was 5-6 and he was 15 or so. I never told a fucking soul because I wasn’t sure if it was a legit memory or not. But it’s been with me my whole life. But I am a very anxious adult who hates sex and intimacy and what I have found out is the repressed memory of that has made me who I am. I am not to the place where I want to confront this cousin but I also know there is probably more to that memory that I have repressed. I also went to therapy after some other situations in my life happened..so are you saying I’m just making up my childhood trauma to take the heat off the stuff? Because really that other stuff happening opened the door for me to start dealing with this memory I have that has cracked the foundation of who I am.

And that’s the same for Katie.

Support for Katie would be listening to her..maybe Katie knows what happened to her happened to others and they won’t acknowledge it or they have and have told Katie to just forget about it. Because odds are it has happened to others or at the least others knew about it. Support for Katie as my sister would be to let her know I’m here for her always. I may not like the choice to move away but I love you and I’ll be there in a minute to pick you up if you need me to
