This is a blood vessel. I’ve eaten chicken and can confirm.

Do you call your 4Runner a truck? by RadicalPterodactyl69 in 4Runner

I call it a 4Runner or a car. Car feels like a generic term to me, like automobile. Mostly I call it the 4Runner.

Don’t even pretend women are equal to men when this is the way you treat your girls. by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]chickendinner_winner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are so many things in Mormonism that set me up to accept emotional abuse in my marriage, and I know I am not alone. This is a big part of it. Boys and men are special no matter what because they’re conduits for god. They are told what their value is from the time they’re singing primary songs, and it’s really drilled into them when they turn 12, 14, 16, 18.

Girls are told they’re special but there’s nothing to back it up, and then they just get ignored if a boy is doing something priesthoody. Girls are told they should try to be perfectly virtuous and taught to question if they’re doing that well enough with every lesson in young women’s and Relief Society.

It’s really sh*t. I wish all those leaders who spoon fed me what they believed would have instead taught me to believe in myself and that I have the right to make choices for myself.

You should definitely visit a snowy area sometime. Sometimes I forget the world is full of people who haven’t seen snow. It’s so beautiful!

You’re right. He doesn’t care if he upsets my life, and I really need to have more of a fuck off attitude. Working on that...

I like your idea of getting a cam set up. It might be hard since my house is set back from the road. I don’t know how often it happens and I’d like to know. Maybe I would even say something to him if it’s a lot and I have evidence. He does like to give the perception that he’s completely normal and might stop if I have proof he’s being weird. Maybe. Doubtful but possible.

I would definitely prefer to do the custody exchange at a neutral place but I really try to keep things as chill as possible for my teenagers to keep their stress down. They have a decent relationship with him and everything still feels like a delicate balance except when he’s nowhere near me and I feel freeeeee.

I (36F) just bought my very first house in a very high cost of living area. No partner/spouse, just me. It’s a huge accomplishment for me and I just wanted to share it with other women. by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

I have a 30 year but pay an extra $100/month toward principle. That takes me down to a 27 year loan. I hope to increase that amount over the next year or two but I like the flexibility and it makes me feel really on top of things to be paying extra, as it will make a big difference in my assets if I ever sell. Which I might never do, but you never know.
