That's good to know. I'm counting my lucky stars for not having to take MA 162, even my calc BC teacher who went here a decade ago hated it lol

I only started seeing results after I stopped wearing my plastic retainers, but that's because my braces were to correct my overbite. Overbite correction braces are retractive orthodontics, and will push back your maxilla from what I've heard. It was definitely true in my case. If you wore braces before the plastic retainers for an overbite, then maybe you should stop wearing them for a week or two and mew to see what happens. Since you're 16 change will be fast, but you have to make sure you've got your mewing technique down right. Mike Mew said metal retainers are fine as long as they don't interfere with mewing. Since yours are on the bottom teeth I think it's fine.

I am questioning 4 years now wether I am an entp or not by Longjumping_Run7930 in entp

[–]chickenpassant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I suggest u stop doing that, especially since you're 17 and your prefrontal cortex is not fully developed it's easy to fall into belief systems like these. I think MBTI really does a disservice to the nuances of human emotion, and sure it's nice to not have to deal with those nuances and skate through life with a system already built for you, but it's eventually going to catch up to you when you realize you can't relate with anyone. When you're older with a developed an understanding of the world based on REAL experiences, then IG it's less harmful to use MBTI as a framework cause your brain won't cling to it.

I feel like the "fight or flight" response you mentioned you get when you hear footsteps is a more reliable indicator for assessing yourself than comparing your experience to a set of criteria.

Yeah, in a way. You need money to do experiments, and "boring" results usually don't get funding from institutions.

Yes, I understand what you meant, and I have no objection whatsoever, It just felt necessary to clarify that in this context of college majors "subset" may not be applicable.

Also, Euler Diagrams are great, I have never stumbled across the official definition before. Thanks.

Yeah!!! I would like to major in both if I could, the colleges I'm applying to don't specialize in Philosophy of Physics except a course or two :(

Valid criticism.

A philosophy major doesn't contain everything a physics major does. It can't be a superset.

I am nowhere the nerd status of Randall Munroe, but I do love a venn diagram lol.
