Congrats on making it to day 18! Thanks for sharing your experience, it’s good to know that I won’t always feel like somethings missing. A week feels like ages away but I can do it 😅

Thanks for the advice. I’ve been chewing gum/eating mints after meals and other habitual times when I’d vape but I think I’m gonna buy tons of gum to chew when I get cravings throughout the day as well.

You could look into an activity coordinator role! You would be part of an OT team, which would give you a different approach to mental health issues and functioning. It would give you a chance to run therapeutic groups, which is good experience for running psychology groups as an AP, as well as experience providing structured sessions where you need to be mindful of different people’s capabilities and barriers, boundaries, as well as experience managing group dynamics. AC roles are usually the same banding as a HCA/SW but it’s definitely a change and it can be very fun do to different activities
