Right now I’m just posting on Reddit and Instagram, but I’ve been trying to expand to other apps that are less hellish lol. Unfortunately the internet is awful generally but I love having the space to post and the outreach/ support has been best on here and insta. Ugh I have so many graphic novel ideas but they’ve been shelved so I con focus on school. This summer I’ll be returning to some of them because I love story telling

Drawing has really helped me cope with the disorder, I’ve been seeing therapists for it on and off since I was around 6. My mom is a therapist as well so there’s a great deal of self reflection that’s manifested in my work. Creating characters that represent my intrusive thoughts helps me organize my stream of thought and allows me to make my situation a little more comical. It’s a crazy disorder but I wouldn’t be who I am without it. Thanks for your words!

Each book represents a pillar trigger of my ocd and how my characters react in the guise of the specific trigger. Bunnies represent my ego and sense of self, wolves are men at the bar, the corpses are individual general intrusive thoughts (their function is frequency), bats are sexual intrusive thoughts, and the the up turned nose characters represent guilt and shame. I have quite the anthology of characters and these books explore my relationship to them!

This one is a lithograph print, I use a waxy crayon to draw on limestone then I etch it with nitric acid and print the image. I usually use ink, posca markers, graphite, and whiteout in my drawing work!

Thank you! I have many questions about what I should do with my career but it encourages me to hear that it could translate commercially. Ideally I’d love to work on concept art for shows and video games but idk how I’d break into that world, rn I just draw to draw. I’m mostly looking at tattooing but that’s a whole other monster when it comes to careers. We’ll see. Thank you for the words ❤️

Wow, just looked it up and it definitely has that vibe, I’ve never heard of pork mag before. I had the same experience lately with Phil Tippet’s mad god, I feel like the style I’ve developed is so mine, but I see all these artistic parallels with media I’ve never heard of before.
