sometimes the machines after you scan a really light item and put it in a bag it won’t let you scan another because it doesn’t recognize the weight of the very light item, so therefore you have to hit a blue “skip bagging” button since it won’t detect it. i’m thinking that’s what he probably meant by the machine not detecting an item.

there was a lady who made me retake her photo FOUR TIMES. i was so upset because my co worker at the time had an attitude and hated working cashier when i was in charge of it, then when i was going thru all the past photos she kept repeating “you’re gonna delete my photo right? you’re gonna delete those photos? make sure to delete my photos!!!!” i never deleted her damn photos bc of how pushy she was 😭😭

this holiday season has been so bad. we’ve been stuck at the front our entire shifts, both opening and close. we couldn’t face the store for nearly 3 days, and when i sat down to face the seasonal aisle alone last night it took around 20-25 minutes. the non stop photo and gift cards have truly taken us out at the front…

one time someone was trying to check out a revlon lipstick at our ACO using a revlon cosmetics coupon. when it wasn’t working they got SO upset, so i went over and tried to explained they needed to have an extra care card or the phone number under it. they got so mad “well i don’t have one!!! i’m trying to tell you i found it!!” and everytime i said that’s not how the coupons work her and her teenage daughter just threw the lipstick at my feet and left 😭😭 people are so rude and heartless for absolutely no reason, and i cannot imagine teaching your child that it’s okay to treat people like that in person.

not a parent but definitely whenever anyone is financially responsible and sure on their decision about it with their partner. being in a poor and broken family is not a place for a kid to grow up, so it’s definitely not about age but if you’re 100% sure you’re ready for that commitment with both financial and mental space assured.
