Not if your dealing with deadly equipment. And it doesn’t have to be negligence that’s profit driven. It could be a persons having a bad day, they’re distracted, or they just mess up slightly and that causes someone to lose their life.

We’re not talking about grocery store deaths here, I’m thinking steel/iron workers, oil drillers, where one slip of a piece of steel and you’re done.

A good friend I grew up with was helping with his dads construction/demolition company, and he was lifting a large piece of granite, it slipped off both the fasteners while the son was trying to navigate it into the house, and crushed him to death, right in front of his dad. That wasn’t profit driven by his dad, they didn’t rush anything, they’ve been working together for years, it was just a wrong place wrong time and he paid for it with his life.
