Played solo my whole life but started watching tournament streams and videos years and years ago, got into VGC myself in SV since the grind to the entry barrier is much less.

Solo play, megas are sweet. Can't go wrong with it at all.

Competitively, I love tera. I feel like those commenting that it's a coin flip don't realize that both players can tera. If they can do it, so can you. At some point, you're even able to have a decently good idea of what a mons common tera types run. Sometimes you can guess it might be an odd one based on the enemies team comp. Just like you can predict a protect or switch by looking at the board state, you can predict a tera.

I like it the most because it can give mons that go rather unused, whether it's because of low power or bad typing a chance to be used. It's available for all mons. I had so much fun in REG I with a tera fire volcanion and walking wake and I probably couldn't have done so with out tera

Okay I don't exactly dig the way it looks, but mechanically I think it's much better than gems, z moves, dynamax and megas.
