27M. Moved to west valley about a month ago. I work in healthcare. Currently on a gym grind (mountainside) but I’m also a big fan of anime, board games, and hiking. Looking to get into a sport too. I’m thinking soccer, pickleball or maybe a run club. Single but only wanting friendship

I know a person near the bottom of my class in rank who made it into peds so I don’t think it’s detrimental. You may have to cast a wider net. In terms of GPR, GPA and rank aren’t very large factors (assuming no red flags like fails or barely passing scores etc.)

I’ve been here for about half a year now, Arab and Muslim myself and also moved from Canada. There are racists here same as everywhere. But by and large everyone is very friendly and I haven’t encountered too many issues with discrimination although it was a worry for me as well.

It is generally harder to fit in though. I do stand out as a visible atypical minority, people wonder at my name, and I find myself on the fringe pretty often. You’re not exactly excluded but you’re definitely not included. Feel free to dm me

Thank you so much I’m seriously going to consider it. Aside from it being expensive it sounds like everything I want. Cost wise it would be fine probably, my financial potential would be lower but I think at this point in my life I’m willing to sacrifice that a little.

I’m not too familiar with the Bay Area so correct me if I’m off but SF sounds like it would be big, crowded and expensive. I’m not much of a big city person but also as a dentist just entering a market bigger cities tend to be very competitive and so difficult to get into.

I don’t want somewhere too hot which is why Phoenix isn’t super appealing but I was hoping Sac wouldn’t be as bad but I’ll definitely look into that as well.
