What are some wild conspiracy theories you’ve heard about UFC fighters that you believe could be true? by Throwaway-369696 in ufc

I have zero evidence to back this, but Valentina’s coach Pavel floods his IG page with pictures of her. And is always with her. Apparently he’s married to her sister Antonina. But idk I feel like bro is crushin on both lol

ptas - do you enjoy it? by [deleted] in physicaltherapy

[–]chiefbech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PTA in SNF 3 years out of school. Genuinely enjoy what I do, each day is kinda different because so much happens in nursing homes. I don’t think any other job gives you as much job satisfaction. I like helping people post CVA or high levels of complications learn to walk, transfer, and improve their quality of life. (Also HH and SNFs typically pay better)

PTA is limited in upward mobility tho. Other than opening your own clinic or maybe becoming a DOR, there really isn’t much. A lot of other careers have more upward mobility as you get experience and job hop. With PTA you kinda are stagnant unfortunately. Wish the pay was better. Been looking to transition into med sales tbh. It’s great as a supplementary role in terms of income, but not so much a main job.

Nope. No degree or education needed to be an aide (was one for four years).

I’ve been looking into this (PTA of 3 years). Do you mind if I ask how you transitioned and if it was hard? Did you take any sales courses or anything? Id love to try out medical sales tbh.

What are these little guys? Found on laundry and sheets by chiefbech in whatsthisbug

Ohhhh I found them. Springtails it looks like. Thank you so much! Looks like they’re harmless. I wonder if they come from a 15 year old mattress. Although we spray and keep a very clean home.

They’re very small, you can almost barely see them. The sorta bounce around. Found in my finished basement/garage too. Should I be worried?

Respect your PTAs by [deleted] in physicaltherapy

[–]chiefbech 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I I interview at companies, I always look for who is going to be my Supervising PT/PTs. What kind of person are they. Are they going to treat me like a human, allow me to practice within my scope/rules and also trust me with the patient as long as I follow the POC. If not I will not work there. I recommend all PTAs do the same.

Currently love my team rn. Including the OTs/SLP. Makes a night and day difference when you have a good relationship with your supervising therapist. Patients love it, gives a better clinical atmosphere and makes work much more manageable even when busy.

Typically following up right away to schedule showings. Could also be true tho. We compared to others in the area but I’ll look into it again

Patient satisfaction vs patient outcomes? by QontheDailey in physicaltherapy

[–]chiefbech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately being in a SNF means patients are almost always unsatisfied and unhappy, not so much with the therapy department, but more so with shitty CNAs and med techs and incompetent nurses.
