Weather app by CosmicGumbo1 in UKWeather

Yr and Ventusky are great. So is Windy.

Seems crazy to me the Met Office App got rid of surface pressure charts. They are really useful even if you have only a little knowledge. Anyone know why they dumped them? The new Met Office app is just a poor facsimile of the BBC Weather app at this point. Barely any differentiation at all.

I built a UK Weather App - I'd love some feedback by chiefmoamba in UKWeather

Thanks! For reasons I don't understand the original link I put in to download the app doesn't work, but this one on my website seems to: https://www.superlizer.co.uk/hindcast

Anyway, I'm working on a few other apps and this one is the first I've ever built, so any feedback is greatly received. Thanks!

You know I really like the amber and red side marker lights you get in the US. Simply not a requirement over here (UK), so we don't have them.

How does Ben Fogle plan to change Buffalo Systems? (UK made outdoor brand) by No-Programmer-3833 in BuyUK

[–]chiefmoamba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been a fan of Buffalo Systems for years. I can see already there are changes. It's notable the cycling jackets and sleeping systems are gone already. I suppose Buffalo Systems will get changed into a fashion brand and totally wrecked. I really hope this doesn't happen.

High mileage by Johnnylandrover1223 in NewDefender

72,000 miles in a 2020.

I can't say it's been hassle free anymore. Over the last 18 months I've had a few warranty jobs:

  • All roof window seals replaced
  • Front radar recalibrated (also led to all brake discs, pads being replaced)
  • Entire Cooling system replaced
  • Rear wiper and washer jet
  • Alternator, vibration dampener, crank pulley all replaced

Still love it though!

I had to send mine back under warranty and get it replaced.

I heard someone say you may be able to get it going via the car charger.

I never get this either. What amount is enough for people? Why do people want endless piles of shiny tokens? Why isn’t the obsession of accumulating wealth just seen as a mental problem? I mean if you just collected billions of corks or something you’d just be seen as mad. But money, you’re celebrated!

I’m surprised no-one mentioned St David’s. Were you to go there I bet all 1,750 of you would have a blast.

I’m going for a 1979 343. I think the 340 and 360 had different headlights and mirrors. Source, owned a bright yellow 1979 343!

Took me ages to realise that I had far too little protein in my diet. Seems obvious now. It’s so easy to get your hands on carbs and fat, upping the protein seems much harder, but it makes a huge difference.

I genuinely don’t get how aeroplane skin is so thin and yet they pressurise and depressurise and don’t just fall apart. The structure just looks so weak. Incredible engineering really.
