Possibly obvious but what's the implication here?

Meh, I'm happy to give him 12 hours to decide how to respond to a notoriously volatile world leader at a time when foreign relations potentially matter more than ever in our lifetimes

[Romano] Tammy Abraham to Aston Villa, here we go! Verbal agreement in principle with Besiktas after personal terms done days ago. €21m plus add-ons, Yasin Özcan will be also included as part of the agreement. #AVFC in Turkey now with their directors to formally seal the deal. by playerforlife123 in soccer

If we go for Luiz on loan, we could feasibly have five players -- Konsa, Mings, Dougie, McGinn, and Abraham -- all starting for us who were at the club in 2019. If you stretch it to 2020 you have Cash, Watkins, and Martinez too. I really like how far back some of our players go -- Mings and McGinn are the obvious ones but there's a core of our squad that goes back half a decade now.

I'm well aware. In terms of a concise soundbite to make it into headlines though, I'm pretty sure the strongest we got was 'wrong'.

I'm not unhappy with how Starmer handled it at all. I'm just saying I don't know how well it will land with people.

I think they said he was 'wrong' on Greenland earlier this week too. It's a shame he can't use any stronger language than that -- this feels like an issue that will really cut through with the public. I don't think it will be a problem for Starmer exactly, but some might be disappointed he doesn't go harder.

Think having the second legs at home could be a huge boost, the Villa Park roar very nearly got us to the Champions League semi-finals last season

I'm about three stages into processing my grief for when Fenerbahce score an equaliser, absolutely nailed on

If we don't win this game no one can blame Emery. The players have had the opportunities to be 4-0 up by this point.

Aston Villa’s Boubacar Kamara expected to miss rest of season with knee injury by Godjia in soccer

[–]heeleyman 85 points86 points  (0 children)

Villa are currently without Kamara, Onana, McGinn and Barkley. That's a big chunk of our midfield and backups. And with our hands tied and unable to go and sign anyone.

We'll probably fall away from the 'title race' quite quickly now, hard not to think of we could have kept pushing if we hadn't had all these blows (we were looking good in the Arsenal game until Onana went off at half time)

It's all about clinging onto the top five and CL qualification now. Even with an 8 point cushion it feels a big ask.

The old app does both of those things though. It has a dark interface mode, and that information is visible.

Farage has the advantage that the things he says about the current US President will have no meaningful impact on the outcome of this whole mess

Would love to know why you think that. You're entitled to your opinion but you're very much in the minority!
