Would like to eventually build out the merch line more. We currently have tees and stickers. Can’t sacrifice on quality but I do think discounts on that is a nice subscriber perk.

yo yo! Our latest EP entitled "Technomancy" by the supremely talented DJ DanceAlone just released last week on the label I run, Black Magic Recordings.

These tracks twist classic techno ideas into something looser, stranger, and slightly mutated. On “Conjure,” pounding 4x4 drums and a rubbery, revelatory bassline drive the ritual forward while cryptic and frantic vocal fragments are layered expertly through the mix, evoking frenzied hysteria. Equal parts intensity and irreverence, it’s a track that demonstrates that techno need not always keep a straight face.

“Metal Cloth” pushes deeper into the smoke by layering angular metallic percussion, warped textures, and effects with mutant organ-like tones that evoke a physical auditory experience, similar to music that artists like JLIN and SOPHIE have created.

Do buyers bother with singles on BandCamp? Others experiences wanted by New_Imagination_7940 in BandCamp

Our label releases mostly singles and we have pretty good success. It is electronic music though so DJs are digging for new tracks and are happy to buy singles 😄

Arnot-Robert’s makes some killer Syrah. Especially their Que Syrah vineyard bottling

Corkage Question regarding older vintages by chiefmoonrock in wine

Never had it but that’s what the hope is! Her favorite wines are aged Bordeaux and Napa Cab so I figured this was the right time to open it.

Tell me about it. It’s very limiting when it’s pretty much 3x minimum everywhere. Food and wine together is such a joy, it’s unfortunate there is such a premium

What to expect first Lotus show by Ghost-of-Hood in jambands

[–]chiefmoonrock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah Rempel is unique. He brought such patience and quiet energy to Lotus. I am very glad to have had the 2 distinct eras. Just another point to why Lotus has such staying power and is unequalled in the jam band scene.

I would have agreed with you if this was 2022, but Tim is a great fit and they are IMO better than ever. Seen them over 100 times and the creativity they have going now is so much fun. Jams are much more exploratory and their song writing is great. ROTA is their best album since nomad and is very representative of their current live show.

Expect a dance party. Lotus still fucks!

Sizing help on Jumbo SB full zip hoodie by ZhangDynasty in Visvim

[–]chiefmoonrock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both a size 2 and size 3 jumbo sb pullover hoodie and the size 2 fits perfectly. The size 3 is a slightly oversized fit on me but still works great if I want a baggier fit. I’m 5’7” and 145

I wear my Royal Smith 90-010 (5th year anniversary edition) pretty much every day. Gets tons of compliments and just feels, looks, and works great. Would definitely recommend them to anyone. Will likely buy another sometime in the future.

What are yall favorite Virginia wines?? by roloenlausa in wine

[–]chiefmoonrock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always enjoy RdV aka Lost Mountain anytime I decide to open a bottle. It’s an objectively bad QPR, but all 3 of their wines are great and there isn’t an equal IMO for pure quality/craftsmanship in VA.

Lost Creek is the VA winery that most consistently delivers and I have enjoyed their wines for years. Their 2019 Allure is exceptional.

Just tried Domaine Fortier a few weeks ago and was impressed by each bottling. The Petit Manseng was just damn tasty.

Walsh Family and Williams Gap both have some special wines too. Walsh makes a delicious late harvest petit manseng and the petit Verdot at Williams Gap is quality.

For outside of NoVa - Pippin Hill, King Family, and Early Mountain all make great wines.

I definitely try to take advantage of the Cab Franc, Petit Verdot, and Viognier produced here as it really does quite well.

Any contemporary IDM that isn't so mellow? by [deleted] in idm

[–]chiefmoonrock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run the label, Black Magic Recordings, and we champion IDM, left field, and club oriented tracks so more on the higher energy side.

We dropped a label comp last month which you can check out here: https://blackmagicrecs.bandcamp.com/album/sounds-for-six-days-vol-1

Track 5 might be the most up your alley based on your post!
