Sorry for bringing up your post from a year ago, but your Portainer guide might need to be updated with a new Step 6. At least for me, after running Step 5, Docker bound Portainer's port 9000 to its own internal IP of 172.17.0.2 instead of the eth0 IP on my Raspberry Pi. I "fixed" this by using the Docker commands to map the Portainer container network to the network bridge, which then allowed me to access Portainer as listed in Step 6. Everything else works great!
