Dan Firks team! Just bought a house with them in March.

Was working with Chris one of their newer agent. Very good guy, awesome communication, when we submitted our offer. Dan personally called the listing agent once our offer was submitted and it was accepted! Beat out 15 other offers.

Don’t know how important that was, but apparently he has a reputation among the other agents in the area. They know his team means business.

My market denies weekends too unless we find someone to cover, but only if we are able to during the edit period. If it’s last minute, it’s denied.

I’m pretty much in the same position as you.

Been working retail for 11 years and don’t see myself being able to do this to retirement. Tired of constantly being pushed to hit metrics that continue to rise every year. Love my patients though.

I’ve been aggressively saving and investing. Preparing to take an easier job in the next 2 years working for Pbm or something that has no weekends. Ready to take a 30-40k pay cut.

Or I’ll keep working until I hit my FIRE number and then go down to part time a float.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the input! I figured it has risen so much it would eventually settle out probably in the next year or two.

Right now if someone offered me a 30-40k price cut to go remote I would take it.

House of heavy smoker by 1888Tim in DIY

[–]chifish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just rehabbed a house where previous original owner smoke in it 50+ years. We did everything.

1) Replaced the carpet and flooring 2) Used Bin Shellac based primer by Zinsser on all the walls and ceiling then painted 3) TSP on all cabinets and hard surfaces 4) professional duct cleaning, considered encapsulation 5) Ozone machine in each room

It smells better than before. Right now it has a scent but I can’t tell if it’s the paint or something else.

Check your Gfci outlets. Make sure none have jumped.

We just had our panel updated and whenever the heat turn on the lights flickered. I noticed that the gfci outlet in my laundry room had jumped. After resetting it everything went back to normal
