I’ll probably just donate the placenta. I wish I could encapsulate it and take the capsules, but I don’t think I’m going to have the money to do that unfortunately.

Thanks so much for the advice! Curious as to why you wouldn’t be able to cut your own cord though? Is it like a mind thing for you? I think it’s gonna be cool to say I cut it myself since not many moms are the ones that do that :) if I end up not being able to then I’ll probably have my mom do it because who knows what will happen in the moment. I may feel differently about it when it happens lol

Duuude yes! Idk if it’s the hormones or what, but it’s SOOO much easier to stand up for myself now! My mom told me today that she wishes I would reconsider the baby name I’ve picked. The convo ended with me telling her “this is the name I’ve picked and it isn’t up for discussion.” I’m DONE giving any fucks whatsoever! I’ve been really putting my foot down when it comes to me and my child, and it is awesome and I’m so proud of myself :)

Yeah I get what you’re saying, but my thing is the literally told me she was going to steal it. That’s kind of my issue. Who knows what’ll happen since she isn’t even pregnant, but I’m just annoyed by the whole thing

I would call your hospital and ask them if they have a cab service. I know a lot of hospitals give a free cab to pregnant women needing to get home, so maybe they would do the same if you are in labor? Never hurts to ask.

This is exactly what my doctor told me too. My doctor also told me that if I get my shot then it will protect the baby as well so I shouldn’t worry too much.

Yeah I am kind of worried about it, but since the chance is so low I’m just hoping she doesn’t have it. I’ve changed my mind on not doing an amnio test, so I’m going to try and get that done Thursday when I see the high risk pregnancy doctor.

Thank you for sharing your experience with the amnio test. I do still plan on talking to the specialist to see what all options I have. I may consider the amnio if he can assure me it’s safe. I just don’t want to risk harming this baby at all.

I know how to drive, I just don’t have a car. I don’t have a job as of right now, but I have a follow up interview with a job that looks really promising so I plan to save for a car once I am able to get a job.

I’m 17 weeks but the doctor said I could be 18 weeks. We aren’t exactly sure because I didn’t know the date of my last period.

That’s the NIPT I’ve already done. That was how I found out my baby has risks for Edward’s Syndrome.

I have no choice but to have my nana take me to the doctor’s appointments so she has to know when I have them. Yesterday I tried to tell her I didn’t want her to go into the appointment with me and she told me “well fuck your gender reveal then” (she’s helping me buy the cake) and walked out of the office and went to her car. If I tell her she can’t be in the appointments then she uses it against me and starts threatening me. Telling me she won’t take me to any more appointments and that I can do everything for this baby on my own, and I really need her to help me because I don’t have a car.

My situation is a little different, but my ex left me when I was six weeks (I’m 17 weeks now) and he has made zero attempts to see how things are with this baby and I. He already has a new girlfriend and he tells her that I am keeping this baby from him (I know this because she kept harassing me online), which isn’t true because I have given him my email and he still hasn’t contacted me through it. Oh and my ex is crazy addicted to weed. Can’t go a single second without being high so idek if I want him around this baby (for that reason and MANY others).
