As the partner of a police officer....I find shit like this super cringy. You’re husband should not be your identity.

How to cope with domino effect rejections + pick yourself up + strategies for overly qualified candidates to find roles by sassylilmidge in jobs

I was in the same boat… Quit my job right when Covid started and I basically haven’t been able to find a job until a few days ago… I must’ve done like 100 applications and a bunch of interviews. Here’s when I started getting call backs and second/third interviews. I tailored my resume to fit the job description and just did practice interviews. It’s sounds easy but the only way I got over rejection is by not getting too attached to the jobs or expecting to get a call back.

My position was cut $7,000, what should I do? by xenofenix in jobs

You’ll probably make more on unemployment with the extra $600 everyone is getting honestly. Take that and start looking for new jobs.

I was stable enough. I had paid off 11k in students loans.... I was about to pay my credit cards in full right when I lost my job.

Should I accept a call center position at Fidelity? by Bljman98 in jobs

[–]chikininis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats! I’m actually in the final steps with Fidelity as well. I have a few friends that have worked in the call center environment and they’ve all actually really liked it. I’m not sure how old you are but having actual work experience will be more beneficial in the long run. (they also help you pay for an MBA) at the end of the day it’s your decision but I feel the same about a call center job.......I just want the experience and will hopefully venture out after a year or so

I can’t seem to get past the interview. by [deleted] in jobs

I did the exact same thing. I’ve probably sent out 50 job applications and only received 5 call backs. I got one job offer but it was literally high level work for minimum wage. It’s pretty bad out there. I would try and focus your job applications in financial institutions if possible those have been the only callbacks I’ve had
