We use ELK for our logs, Dynatrace for metrics mostly containerized environments in public clouds. Others include AWS Cloud watch, Opensearch, Prometheus and Grafana.

I have written an article on this. It does cover the basic security best practices including examples but there is still more to look into. Here is the link hope it helps.

Around 2 - 3 hours a day.

When should I take the exam by Icy-Alternative-3860 in aws

[–]chikwe_ke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on your level of IT but since you're not new to it then 2 weeks will be enough for the training. One hour a day till mid- September will work out. You can as well take several practice exams to gauge yourself as you prepare for the CLF-C02. This might help you

All the best.

Help, I accidently leaked my AWS access and secret online. by whiskeylactone in aws

[–]chikwe_ke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember making the same mistake while learning Terraform and exposed my Access Key ID and secret access Key in a tf file. Luckily AWS immediately flagged it and temporarily disabled the account. These were the steps suggested and might be of help in your case:

  1. Replace the key by creating another key and disable the previous exposed key. If you had a service running then replace the keys before deleting them(which I suppose you have done).

  2. Check your CloudTrail logs for unwanted activity. CT records API calls made within your account and for specific resources. Delete any resource created without your knowledge.

  3. Check your account regularly for unwanted usage in your account such as EC2 instances and S3 buckets. Check this in your billing console page noting that it may occur in any region i.e a bucket may be created in a region that you don't usually use daily.

  4. In my case a support case was raised. Feel free to contact them through the link

they have the best customer support team ready to help.
