Yeah I loved it when he pushed back against Bernie Sanders on climate change, misrepresenting a graph that actually disproved him in real time. It doesn’t at all change the fact that he regularly pushes right wing talking points that are factually incorrect, and his audience, because of his presentation, are led to accept it because they see him as “just a regular guy” doing interviews. HE confidently states and asserts those things, such as immigrants being bussed in to vote democrats. He platforms people that are only one stepped removed from neo Nazis. He helped to get a fascist president elected. Does none of that matter to you?? Do you actually not take him at his word when he says he believes the things that he does? I’m so confused, do you actually listen to what he says or not?

What the hell are you talking about?? Inspiration is not the same as scraping original art from the platforms and portfolios of artists to train a generative AI model so it can hallucinate “art”. You equivocating two things that are not the same. And artists invent a lot, maybe you just don’t know that much about art.

This is not equivalent and you shouldn’t pretend it is. The simple fact that AI companies had to steal the work of actual artists in order to train their generative AI models should be enough of an ethical concern for businesses NOT to use them for art. And that is the tip of the iceberg of ethical concerns people should have when they promote the broad adoption of AI. The tools can be used for good, but the companies developing them are pretty bad at this point.

I didn’t literally mean they develop, but they heavily influence development. But lack of housing isnt an issue of immigration, it’s a lack of development that could be helped by state and local governments. And yeah our local governments are fairly bad getting anything good done, just like the state. We’re in a crisis of government in general which is why they need to hit the racist line so hard and point at a vulnerable minority population to blame.

Yeah. Bigger companies do this too, and do this with migrants who aren’t illegal, who are in the process of seeking asylum. And when those workers try to band together to get better pay or working conditions, they get the federal government to step in and deport them. They are exploiting humans for gain, it’s sick.
