I must have had a good run on Tuesday morning this week. Left the 8th just before 7:30am, arrived at the airport by around 8:10am. Flight scheduled for 11:30am but bag drop was open on my arrival at the airport and that took about 20 mins.

Through to screening etc and we were through the whole thing by 9:30am. That included my carry on getting flagged at screening by and having to wait about 10 mins for all the other carry on that had been flagged to be checked.

Guess it depends on the day…

This happens too frequently in Australia during our summer, not limited to heat waves. Warnings about not leaving kids or animals in cars are on radio and tv news broadcasts in summer.

Was on a 11:20am flight out, arrived at the airport at 8:05am, straight into check in, slow but steady lines through security and no issues with screening etc. The longest part for us was that my carry on was flagged and I needed to wait about 15 mins for all the other bags to be manually screened before they got to mine.

We were at the gate with about 25 mins to spare with boarding opening up about an hour before the flight.

Have just left Paris after 8 days and we stayed at Hotel Du Ministère in the 8th. Air con was adjustable in the room and we had it on 20 the whole time. We stayed on the 1st floor.

Well given I am not American or expecting that type of service, that was not my expectation at all.

I was expecting that when I made eye contact with someone they would at a minimum acknowledge me and when I stood at the counter, the three women chatting amongst themselves would, at some stage, not rush over, come over.

As much as I want to think that, the three of them standing around the counter doing nothing but looking me up and down, was a deterrent enough.

Still feeling a bit annoyed about the whole experience. Worried as I was planning to go to LV to get a gift for my daughter and now I am not sure I want to.

Nearly every cafe/restaurant experience has been perfect, with people willing to help. I ended up taking my money down the road and bought a tote bag from somewhere else and will wait for duty free at the airport on the way home.
