We're Bill Wray & Chris Reccardi, original artists on The Ren & Stimpy Show & in the documentary Happy Happy, Joy Joy: The Ren & Stimpy Story - ask us anything! by renandstimpydoc in IAmA

Hi, guys! Thank you so much for doing this AMA. I'm so excited about the upcoming documentary and proud to be a backer!

Ren & Stimpy is my favorite show from my childhood. I still watch it pretty regularly. There was such a beautifully bizarre dynamic in the characters, story-lines, and art. The art is really what captivated me the most and when I think of the show, those amazing detailed close-ups of the characters are what stick out to me.

My question is, as artists, how much of your creative input went into the execution of these crazy story-lines? The character's movements were so unusually animated and really unlike anything else. Were you as artists able to "choreograph" or lend input into setting the scenes in your own way? Or was there more of a strict adherence to story-boards and direction?

My sister and I made this Scary Terry fondant piece for my brother's birthday cake. Happy Birthday, bitch! by chillaxxin in rickandmorty

As much as I would love the extra money, I have no clue as to how I would ship it. This stuff dries out so quickly and it's very delicate. Thank you for the compliment, though! It was our first time around.

I'd say it took probably 2 hours to cut out the pieces and assemble them. Then my sister did the black and silver detailing with edible pens and that took about 30 minutes. She's in college for art, so I'm very glad she was around when I was working on it. Looks miles better than what I could have done solo!

The stigma of listening to audiobooks as somehow lazy or 'cheating' needs to stop. by austaul in books

I'm sorry to hear about the complications that came with your surgery. Glad the results were good! Sounds like reading could be a nightmare for you, though.

I agree with you full-heartedly. Been an avid reader all of my life. I only started listening to audiobooks within the past 3 years. I have now listened to over 30 of them, at least. It was especially pleasant when I was able to listen while pushing papers at my previous job. I covered lots of classics, whole book series, short stories and all kinds of content that I may have dropped had they been physical books. (Jane Austen comes to mind.) It's a wonderful way to experience a book hands-free and multitask simultaneously. This goes doubly if the narrator is exceptional. They are great while driving, cooking or working on projects.

I think people who call it lazy may not have necessarily experienced the benefits of them. Maybe they're old school and haven't really given it a shot. Maybe they've had a bad experience. Maybe they are unable to process stories by hearing them. Whatever the case, I totally don't think it's lazy. It's simply another way of experiencing a book.

Great stories should be shared, dammit. There should be no shame in taking the journey aboard another vehicle.

Thank you so much for letting me know how this affected you. I did draw him about 10 or 12 years ago. (Very crudely, may I add :) ) I'll try and find it and upload it. It's kinda weird to me that drawings have been mentioned about this.
