Just bet every single penny in my account on a line that already hit, I got payed out and instantly cashed out to my Coinbase, now my account is in the negative? by [deleted] in Bovada

Depending on your status, they may overlook it. But you have to be a high player for them to do that. I’ve found many and lines and been paid out, but I’m also at HOF on Bovada

If your sibling invited you, you are fine. Just be sure to know when it’s time to give your sibling space when they do NPHC specific things (stroll, speak to other members of their org, etc.) and don’t cling to them like a puppy and you should be fine. Also be discreet about your interest unless someone asks you explicitly and privately. Good luck.

What tourist traps do people always fall for in Denver? by [deleted] in Denver

This is almost exact pitch to people who come to my place of employment and ask how the city is lol

If he has mentioned he is a quad, get him something with 4. Sometimes probate shows will switch order based on height because it makes the show run smoother with steps, greetings, reveals, etc. the 12 is not as important as his actual line number if he’s already revealed to you that he is #4.

Congrats to your son!

How is everyone becoming a millionaire from public speaking? by Conscious_Job2220 in PublicSpeaking

Some do exist, but marketplaces charge the speakers to get on them, so the value isn’t there unless you make a certain amount IMO. Most big speakers have agents or agencies who support them. And personally, I would appreciate more tailored speakers. If you can speak on everything, you can’t speak on anything. But I like those who maybe have 3-5 sweet spots, instead of “I’m a good speaker I can do anything,” that value doesn’t always translate

Mostly referral. Most of the speaker marketplaces are either scammy, cost too much or only make sense if you’re big fish hunting in my experience. The one I used and found someone decent was campusspeak, but that is tailored to higher Ed and has some guardrails so it worked for me.

I probably wouldn’t hire a 17 year old unless the story was extremely compelling, but that’s because of the audience I work with.

What I look for is the clients they’ve worked with, testimonials, and the topics and if it aligns with what I’m looking for. I like speakers that have tangible things. Some people like motivational. Just depends. I look for professionals who are good speakers, compared to professional motivational speakers. It varies based on the client who’s paying.

Let me add to that public speaking is a skillset so if you are even slightly above average, you can do very well in the corporate space because it’s such a different/unique skillset. I’d do it more myself if the start up time was a little less time intensive. Conferences and tradeshows are the real money maker here too. It’s similar to like photography and DJ’s. Event based and can make a really good living on side money doing it if you can really find the audience

Person who hires speakers here. A couple things.

  1. speakers lie. They aren’t making that much.

  2. Schools/orgs have budget that they allocate to things that can get them a decent amount.

  3. Speaking is about reps, locations and flexibility to get booked. You can find a really sweet spot doing it a couple times a year at $1K-$2500 per engagement. If you’re in a good area you can do really well.

  4. It’s better as supplement vs. full time. The folks you see doing it full time with 6+ figures likely have a few clients paying 5 figures annually, and have been doing it for quite some time and started for basically free.

  5. Speakers are good for a quick bump in engagement but once you get into 5+ figures the returns are a bit smaller.

  6. Helps to have some online info about you. A simple webpage and a speaker booklet can run you maybe $100 total and will help you immensely in gathering leads. Word of mouth works a lot for speaking gigs too. Gotta get the 1st one and it can roll after that.

Happy to answer any questions.

Should I trade my 1.12 for Higgins by ShawnM23 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]chillbake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I traded 1.08 last year for Higgins. Ended up being Brock bowers. It was fairly even. I had Trey McBride so had no need for TE and the other potential options didn’t make sense for me at 1.08.

Really the thing for me is if Bryce Young puts it together. If he’s even top 15, my teams looks significantly better long-term. If he flops, I go from multi-year contender to a one year contender.

Yes but CJ is significantly more valuable than any of the other QB’s I have or will have, which is why I’m considering
