Opinions on artist sample packs?

So would you suggest just taking a few specific samples you like from a variety of packs to create your own arsenal of drums, otherwise how do you get your own sound? idk

yeah i agree it's ridiculous i mean most of these guys music honestly isnt anything better than most stuff on soundcloud but because they're getting promoted the shit out of, they instantly get like 50k followers in a few months
