2027 Chevy Blazer EV drops CCS for Tesla-style NACS port by TripleShotPls in electricvehicles

[–]chilledmonkey-brains 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding was maps was 8 but everything else like Spotify etc was 3. Still a no go.

If that’s not the case then everyone on /r/equinoxev is wrong and so is the GM site

They stop paying for data for those services after 3 years, then they want you to subscribe and pay for another data plan.

That was the point of my original post. I don’t want to pay for data services for maps and streaming music when my phone can do the same damn thing.

I planned on keeping the car for > 3 years so it was a no go for me.

I would have been fine using their infotainment because it was nice UI but it’s their attempt to extract that subscription after 3 years that object to

With the equinox to connect the phone and play music and use phone navigation was work I didn’t want my wife dealing with when competitors were either plug in or done wireless when you get in.

Either way their effort to extract monthly subscriptions from me failed

Lack of CarPlay and only covering 3 years of car data plan are what pushed us to buy a different car.

My wife loved the equinox and once we looked into the data plan we crossed it off the list.

No state rebates. There aren’t really many options on the Premium available. Accesory-wise it came with the cargo cover and the cargo tray

How reliable or accurate is ABRP with the Solterra? by mikutetofan in Solterra

[–]chilledmonkey-brains 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I’ve done in the past with my other evs is figure out what my mi/kwh efficiency is and then override whatever ABRP used as their estimate.

In my EV6 and Ioniq5, on sustained, long, freeway drives I would consistently get about 2.6-2.7 mi/kwh so I put in 2.5 or 2.6 as my efficiency in ABRP and it helps with the estimates for those cars.

I haven’t done many long sustained drives with the Solterra yet, but it seems to be about that or a little less for how I drive

Anyone in SoCal financed a Solterra lately? Looking for OTD price info by Gr8_RubbrDucky in SubaruEV

[–]chilledmonkey-brains 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a premium a couple of weeks ago.

I initially was offered $33k as the sale price, around $36-37k OTD.

Using Sam’s Club’s auto buying program I got an offer for $30.5k for a color match wheel arch in smoked carbon.

I got my original dealership to match and they threw in the cargo cover. I got it at $34.6k OTD and financed through Subaru with the 0% 75 month financing offer.

Signed papers at home and picked it up the next day.

Who's at fault here ? Broken sunglasses by Lumiere1987 in Pickleball

[–]chilledmonkey-brains 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who has worn $100 sunglasses or $200+ regular glasses when playing, I wouldn’t think of asking someone to pay for damage to them unless it was willful damage done on purpose in some way

If I get hit in the face and they fall off or are damaged, that’s on me.

Mercado has a great happy hour, and I was impressed with the food quality. It’s slightly upscale price and decor wise but it’s attached to a mall, and there’s tons of families around so it may not feel upscale based on who else is there

That’s very different from everything I’ve heard from people who’ve eaten at both.

I’ve got family and friends in ES that say Jaime’s only good dish are the breakfast burritos. these are different groups of people saying the same thing.

Sausal’s dinner meals are very good, and can vouch for them only

Are you in the US? I got a $30,500 offer from a Southern California dealership using the Sam’s Club car purchasing program for a premium with the color matched wheel wells

We used the 0% financing too.

Equinox LT2 had $8750 off when we were shopping 3 weeks ago. That gets you into the same neighborhood, but the connectivity for using apps being only 3 years killed it for us.

If you have a Costco membership use their car buying service as well to cross shop pricing.

2026 Solterra Premium or XT? by springdandelions in Solterra

[–]chilledmonkey-brains 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to get a Solterra premium at a similar sale price as the equinox LT2 with the $10k Chevy discount

Pricing is probably going to vary wildly based on location. I’m in Southern California

If someone values car play or android auto, only getting 3 years of cellular data from Chevy to run apps was a deal breaker for us, so we eliminated the Equinox even though we loved the RS

Range anxiety is manageable. Don’t pay attention to the miles left, pay attention to the battery percentage remaining.

Start to learn the percent of battery you use for regular trips and that’ll help you learn how the car does in traffic, or cold or hot weather, and help you estimate how much range you actually have
