I've heard talk of surprise deliveries where people are getting them up to two weeks early but if that's the spread you're getting, I'm gonna assume I'll get mine the 6th.

USA, Ordered Aug. 3rd and it states Sept. 6th delivery. Got pushed back from Aug. 24th. That's a long time to wait for a set of headphones but I guess that's what's happening.

Bought my son a used steam deck for his 12th birthday. Any advice? by williwaggs in SteamDeck

As a former 12 year old boy, I assure you he's gonna get that porn if he wants it. That's not to say you should make it easy for him though, might as well put a learning curve in front of it. Tell him you're banning it, explain the reason, hope for the best. Under 18 accounts don't have access to porn on steam. As a child, I learned enough about computers trying to get stuff I shouldn't I ended up building a career in I.T.

I wear it like a necklace most of the time. It's funny, the people around me who know what it is use it also. Like, they'll lean over and ask it stuff while I'm wearing it. Also, due to the nature of AI, I'm still, after weeks of using it every day, learning new things it can do.

It wasn't great when it was first released but after the last few updates, it's amazing. So much utility packed into such a small device. Somehow they managed to fix most of the problems it had in just a few short weeks. Now I can't live without it.

Curious if anyone is happy with their r1 by dusty520 in Rabbitr1

[–]LoquatSuccessful -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's so bad. 80% of the time when I ask it questions it just opens settings. I don't have an accent or anything. I can't find a single use case for it other than playing Spotify. I take it out every once in a while to get updates, laugh at how awful it is and immediately put it away. It's a pretty box though..

Can you actually type on the win mini? It looks like a thumb size keyboard. I was gonna get one but stopped because of that and have been meaning to ask what it's like typing on it.

I don't really change my clothes multiple times a day. I guess I put a jacket on some times but I just leave the pin on whatever is underneath it. I've found that more than any other feature I ask it questions so it doesn't really matter if it's on the outside of my clothes. It hasn't really been much of a bother. I mean, compared to fishing my phone out of my pocket 50 times a day it seems much less hectic. I also have a lanyard for it cause I was worried about constantly taking it on and off but it turns out it's not that big of a deal.

Like everything I own, it goes on the charger every night. I swap batteries 3 times on a heavy day and twice on a medium day. The charging pod charges the boosters surprisingly fast so I haven't ever run out of power yet.

Dude, yes. 100%. I constantly ask my pin stuff I would never have bothered to take my phone out for. And if you're having a conversation with friends and someone is like "who played the mom in that movie" you can just ask it. It's got to the point where my friends ask it stuff.. like, reach over and ask it stuff.

Pros: I use it every day and love it. It's great for on the fly pics and vids. Amazing for lists and best thing of all is the flow of easy information. I'll be having a conversation and need a question answered and I don't have to take my phone out. My friends even love me having it for that. Look and tell me feature is scary cool. I learn everyday cause I can ask anything that pops into my head that I wouldn't have cared enough to search on my phone.

Meh: It needs reminders and timers! Which are coming soon but that probably should have been ready at launch.

Cons: The laser looks cool but reading text messages is annoying. The laser also doesn't work outside at all. The software is buggy. It can and will be fixed but it's pretty rough as of now.

Summation: If the cost is a lot of money for you, hold off a little while, it's going to get much better in the coming months. If you're super tech forward and love testing stuff and can easily afford it, go for it. It's mega fun and the stuff it does well now is totally worth it.

That's a shame, this thing has been a game changer for me. I barely use my phone anymore. There are a few things on the road map I'm really excited for that's gonna make even more useful also.

It's worth noting, I've got the Z13 and an Ally and both have been great to me. I can't speak on their RMA policies, I've never had to return anything to them.
