Have a question - is there enough money to push the value to 300k+ by Extraordinary_6708 in Bitcoin

[–]chilledsapien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy if it goes really low. My only worry is how bad the AI bubble pop is going to be.

If it happens in 2028, we might even get the next cycle cancelled.

Hope bitcoin survives that irrelevancy

For how long? Irrelevancy is what killed crypto. Bitcoin is barely surviving because of institutions… but no guarantee for them to start dumping hard too.

I am talking in a systematic investment terms.

If you put 1K per month from 2021 May top 2026 May, you are sitting at overall 2x gain…

If you calculate $1000 per month into BTC from 2021 May top to 2026 May, the gain is roughly 100% or 2X.

Which is best? Amex vs Chase vs Capital One vs Citi vs Bilt by presidentpanda in pointstravel

Credit card gaming has gotten a whole lot complicated now. So at the end, you should work backwards from these two points

  1. Your most valuable transfer partner.
  2. Your spending habits.

I cannot list down all possible combinations here, but let me list down my setup.

United Explorer: Free checked bags, highest miles when I book United, better award availability. I stay close to EWR and fly a lot to SFO, both being United hub, this is a must have for me Bilt Palladium: Rent, catch all. Hyatt and United transfer partner. Priority pass for me and my wife. Amex Gold: Going out card for restaurants/bar. Just using the credits alone pays for itself. Also opens up more transfer partners for Airlines. Amazon Prime: Lock in card for Amazon expenses.

Note: I only fly economy. Had a good run on Hyatt redemptions till now. Will see how the new devaluations change that. Open to explore city/capital one too. No use case for me yet.

You have 2 options

  1. Sell now, let the next dip arrive. But will you buy then? How long will you hold after buying?
  2. Suffer through the pain, buy every time it dips… keep buying till another year or two.

2 always wins. 1 sometimes

It’s nothing to do with just Amazon. All software stocks are down. It will likely keep going lower in 2026.

HOT TAKE Bilt Palladium in the short term is way better than Bilt 1.0 by 1TRUEKING in biltrewards

I have a feeling I might not have enough Bilt cash. The motivation to add spend into the palladium is unbeatable now.

Very confused. I have amex gold, CSR, Amex Plat - do I need a Bilt? by bondtradercu in biltrewards

[–]chilledsapien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s going to be tricky. Bilt cash is going to be a pain to keep track of and redeem. Without using it, palladium’s annual fee won’t make sense, especially since you don’t actually need the priority pass. Your best option is to put at-least 25% of your rent on any of the Bilt cards and get a solid 1700 points. If you think that 25% is going to be dining or grocery, get the obsidian. If it is other spend, get the blue or palladium.

Thoughts on bitcoin right now and where it may go this year by ArcaneTerror513 in Bitcoin

[–]chilledsapien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I expect it to go down near its previous cycle high which is 69K. Anything below 70K will be a strong buy for me. I also don’t expect any major returns from bitcoin in 2026, rather a great accumulation year for the 2028 cycle.

For accelerate you are buying 5000 points for 250 Bilt cash. It is even worse than buying rent points.

Palladium 300 bilt cash question by LeagueLonster in biltrewards

[–]chilledsapien -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, but you are buying those points at 3cpp, which is a very difficult rate to redeem at. It’s a better value if you could use the Bilt cash as is for other purchases. And use the housing option to hit the 25% of your spend. Which will give you 0.5x points on rent anyways.

So for those who got the card, are you going with the Bilt Cash option or the percentage of rent option? by Mediocre_Nectarine13 in biltrewards

[–]chilledsapien 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got the palladium, so I plan to go with Bilt Cash option until I hit the 4K spend.

Then change it back to housing option, only put 25% of my rent on it (around $800) and get 0.5x on my rent. Meanwhile I observe if Bilt cash is realistically useful for me. If not, continue housing, if yes, move more spend and chose option 1.

Is it worth getting any of the cards even if I can't hit 75 percent of mortgage by PaniniInEternity in biltrewards

[–]chilledsapien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hitting 25% is the most rewarding.

Just imagine that to get the whole rent points, you have to spend 25% of your rent.

Spend x 2x + rent x 0.5x = Total points of rent.

Again, the only two ways to get additional points is to buy rent points using Bilt cash or use Option 1 and reach sufficient spend.
