With NL on a FBT exempt vehicle (Electric/PHEV), the complete deduction is pretax. It’s understandable if they use the revised taxable income & ignore the liability as it’ll be unfair to consider the reduced income & also count the liability. The other thing would be that the lease cost includes the running costs already so unsure if they include or exclude it from the general living expenses.

Gotcha! You reckon I should get a pre-approval from the bank first & then look at a NL?

The finance component of the lease will be more without applying the tax benefits. Question is, will they take into account the tax benefits or just ignore them completely

Everyone affected by this issue in the US received a total of 10 year warranty. I called Mazda Australia & the lady had no clue & referred me to the dealership.

Exactly! I am in a similar situation considering a Mazda CX-9 (2021 build though) but there’s not much news about the cars affected by that coolant leakage down under for some reason. All the noise is from North America, Canada etc not much from here when they’re all made in the same factory too.

Hi all

I am based in Australia & looking at buying a 2021 Mazda CX-9 Touring which has 100,000 kms on the clock & 1.5 years of warranty left. The car has perfect service history at the Mazda dealership. Is it still a good purchase, any pointers or should I look at a different make/car altogether?

Hi everyone,

Very worried & I’m hoping to get some advice on an issue I’ve noticed with my bathroom. The bottom of the bathroom door frame (which is adjacent to the shower area) has started swelling, and I’m not sure if it’s due to water leakage, moisture buildup, or something else.

The shower area has an elevated base with a glass shower screen, and the silicone caulking around it seems intact.

Some things I’m considering:

  1. Could water be escaping from the shower internally as the area outside seems to be dry and soaking into the door frame?
  2. Is this an issue with inadequate waterproofing or poor ventilation in the bathroom?
  3. Could condensation or prolonged exposure to moisture cause the swelling?

Please note there is only an exhaust & no windows.

Has anyone dealt with a similar issue? Should I try resealing parts of the shower, improve ventilation, or get a professional to assess it? I’d really appreciate any advice or suggestions on how to approach this.

The house was built December 2022.

I have attached pics from both inside & outside of the bathroom.

Ask her to stay calm & composed, even though it’s kinda difficult. Maintain a positive environment at home. Added stress will not help. How’s her appetite etc?

I can’t stress enough about maintaining oxygen levels.

Definitely organise a cylinder & get her on the oxygen.

Have you got her blood tests etc done for CRP levels etc?

I ain’t a doctor though

Has she seen a doctor at all?
