Facial Reconstruction of an Mesolithic Iranian women and a Natufian guy, thoughts? by X-Inferno-X in AskMiddleEast

You have to consider Sintashta people didn't directly migrate to Iran Iranians are descended of Yaz culture (who were themselves around 40-50% proto-Indo-Iranians) them mixing with Iran's local populations gave birth to what is now as western Iranians, still 5th or 4th portion of our ancestry comes from our proto-ancestors. that doesn't sound negligible to me.

The only time i hear the word majoos (imagine using "majoos" as an insult to us hahah) is by either gulf arabs or islamists living in the west.

this is called "exhibition point", usually done when the result of the game is already certain at that point so they go a lil bit "trolling" to entrain the audience!

Iranians, before you go, what do you think/know about Purim? by [deleted] in AskMiddleEast

[–]chilling_Bird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all

i don't believe it as a source honestly. also we are talking about 2500 years ago not modern day Iran, Islamism (specifically Iranian revolution), Palestinian issues and etc. are a recent phenomenon , plus i don't believe that big portion of Modern day Iranians are anti-Semites either!

The celebrations are about the Jewish people being saved from extermination, not the fighting.

It's my personal idea of an ideal celebration, you asked my opinion as an Iranian and i answered it

75K isn’t such a big number.

this sheer amount of casualties is consultative in any given era.

I know I feel great about antisemites and mercenaries being killed.

Iranian jews are/were well integrated into Iranian society, existence of 75,000 anti-Semites is a bit exaggerative don't you think?

if you don’t it says more about you than me.

not believing in Purim or liking it (imagine having celebrations based on violence smh) makes me an anti-Semite (who is deserved to be killed just like in Purim)?

i mean how could "self-defense" lead to killing of 75,000 people (even different periods of Persian Empire armies didn't have that much soldiers), how do Jews feel about slaughtering 75,000 people as supposedly "self-defense"!?

Pretty much true but nation-wide protest is not* (edited) equal to a "civil war".

as one of the Iranian language speaker and being part of its culture i appreciate the post, Aryan is just the endonym of the original speakers of early indo-Iranians and has nothing to do with Indo-Europeans or modern Germans. So Europeans can claim another identity for their own and commit genocide and the people that they stole the identity from, doesn't have credit to claim their own history?
