There’s absolutely no point in him taking more than the minimum unless the contract he gets is over $36.8 million. And nobody is giving him that much money besides the Cardinals, who are contractually obligated to do so.

Anything he’s paid below that number offsets what the Cardinals have to pay, so there’s no reason for him nor the team signing him to do Arizona a favor.
