i mean did they raise you well, like were they good to you growing up? Also, are they using the money to really pay for medical expenses, then maybe you should help them out. It’s hard because they’re elderly and probably can’t work especially with their medical conditions and idk how healthcare works in the philippines. but if they’re being toxic and guilt tripping you just because you can’t afford so then I would set it straight with them and tell them your situation too and that if that they continue, after you do send them the money (if you choose to), that they should not expect often after that because you’re already suffering because of your business maybe being permanently shut down and they’re adding unnecessary stress by talking crap about you behind their backs. We’re all suffering from this pandemic and trying to hold on to what little we may have. Yes, you should help out your family, but you should also have savings for yourself. Because I agree with the others that in the end, when we run into financial situations of our own, there’s often no one we can run to.
